5 Form 1 (II) ACTIVITY 1) Construction, operation or decommissioning of the Project involving actions, which will cause physical changes in the locality (topography, land use, changes in water bodies, etc.) Sr.. Information/Checklist confirmation Yes / Details there of (with approximate quantities/rates, wherever possible) with source of information data 1.1 Permanent or temporary change in land use, land cover or topography including increase in intensity of land use (with respect to local land use plan) Yes The construction project is to be developed on an open land area hence a permanent change in land use will occur. However the same will not be environmentally adverse. Various construction activities, construction material handling & storage, construction waste disposal etc. will bring changes to the site topsoil. However, construction wastes are inert in nature and will be used for levelling of low lying areas and development of greenbelt area at the project site itself. It may be noted that there will not be any change in land use, land cover, or topography during the operational activities. 1.2 Clearance of existing land, vegetation and buildings? t applicable due to the fact that the proposed project is to be developed on an open land area. 1.3 Creation of new land uses? Yes Creation of new land use will not bring change in topography, land use, water bodies etc. 1.4 Pre-construction investigations e.g. bore houses, soil testing? Yes Please refer Annexure 7: Geo Technical Investigation Report 1.5 Construction works? Yes Various construction activities, construction material handling & storage, construction waste disposal etc. will bring change to site topsoil. However, construction wastes are inert in nature and will be used for levelling of low lying areas and development of greenbelt area at the project site itself. 1.6 Demolition works? demolition work will be required to carry out, since the proposed project is to be developed on an open land area. Surya Emerald Page - 4 of 16

6 Form Temporary sites used for construction works or housing of construction workers? t applicable because local contractors/ workers will be given preference for various construction activities. Since local workers/contractors are easily available, there will be no requirement for housing for construction workers. 1.8 Above ground buildings, structures or earthworks including linear structures, cut and fill or excavations. 1.9 Underground works including mining or tunnelling? t applicable because the proposed project is to be developed on an open land area. Various construction activities, construction material handling & storage, construction waste disposal etc. will bring change to the site topsoil. However, construction wastes are inert in nature and will be used for levelling of low lying areas and development of green belt area at project site itself. t Applicable 1.10 Reclamation works? t Applicable 1.11 Dredging? t Applicable 1.12 Offshore structures? t Applicable 1.13 Production & manufacturing processes? t Applicable 1.14 Facilities for storage of goods or materials? 1.15 Facilities for treatment or disposal of solid waste or liquid effluents? Yes Storage of goods and materials to be used for various construction activities will bring changes to the site topsoil; however, the effect would be very marginal. Approximately, 63 kl/day of sewage to be generated during the operation phase will be discharged to drainage network of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Approximately; 262 kg/day of Municipal Waste to be generated during the operation phase, will be collected by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for its ultimate Surya Emerald Page - 5 of 16

7 Form 1 disposal to its landfill site. Therefore, this activity would not have adverse impact on topography, land use, changes in water bodies etc Facilities for long term housing of operational workers? Since, local workers will be employed; no housing facilities will be required New road, rail or sea traffic during construction or operation? 1.18 New road, rail, air waterborne or other transport infrastructure including new or altered routes and stations, ports, airports etc? 1.19 Closure or diversion of existing transport routes or infrastructure leading to changes in traffic movements? The proposed project is to be developed within Makarba area of Ahmedabad City where existing transportation facilities are enough to take care of increased traffic. new road, rail, air, waterborne or other transport infrastructure including new or altered routes and stations, ports, airports is envisaged. Existing transportation facilities will be used for the proposed project. t Applicable 1.20 New or diverted transmission lines or pipelines? 1.21 Impoundment, damming, culverting, realignment or other changes to hydrology of watercourses or aquifers? such activities are required to be carried out. t Applicable because water will be obtained through Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) during operation and construction phase & however, if ground water is required to be extracted we shall obtain appropriate permission from the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) Stream crossings? t Applicable 1.23 Abstraction or transfers of water from ground or surface waters? t Applicable because water will be obtained through Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) during operation phase and during construction phase & however, if ground water is required to be extracted we shall obtain appropriate permission from the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA). 8 1.24 Changes in water bodies or the land surface affecting drainage or run-off? t Applicable Form 1 Excess runoff water will be diverted to Two (2) percolation wells within the site. Sewage to be generated from proposed project will be discharged to drainage network of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation 1.25 Transport of personnel or materials for construction, operation or decommissioning Most of the construction materials will be bought from local suppliers. It may be noted that local people will be given preference for all the activities related to the proposed project. Hence, transport of personnel or materials for construction, operation or decommissioning will not bring change to topography, land use, water bodies etc Long-term dismantling or decommissioning or restoration works? t Applicable 1.27 Ongoing activity during decommissioning which could have an impact on the environment? 1.28 Influx of people to an area in either temporarily or permanently? t Applicable Yes As the proposed project is to develop 3&4 BHK residential apartments, there will be permanent influx of people Introduction of alien species? t Applicable 1.30 Loss of native species or genetic diversity? t Applicable 1.31 Any other actions? t Applicable 2) Use of Natural resources for construction or operation of the Project (such as land, water, materials or energy, especially any resources which are non-renewable or in short supply). Sr.. Information/Checklist confirmation Yes/ Details there of (with approximate quantities/ rates, wherever possible) with source of information data 2.1 Land especially undeveloped or agricultural land (ha) Yes The proposed project is to be developed on ha (5353 m 2 ) of open land area and not use in agriculture.
