At the factory with a total area of approx. 6 ha and 6,200 m² production area, about 200 boilers are manufactured each year. Our service team at the head offi ce in Bärnbach provides top of the range service and maintenance support, with service and sales offi ces and partners all over the world. Cooperation with universities and similar organizations as well as the expertise of our highly qualifi ed engineers ensures top technological standard throughout the world. Operating out of Austria a country with one of the strictest environmental regulations of the world BINDER developes products which meet the principle of sustainability and are ecologically and economically worthwhile. Successful with biomass systems & heat pumps Pellet- & wood chip systems up to 1,500 kw (with cascade operation up to 4,500 kw), log wood boilers up to 40 kw and heat pumps up to 80 kw. Due to the wide product range of the company BINDER, which was taken over in January 2015, the result is a perfect supplement to the existing products in the biomass sector. Now, systems from 4 kw up to 20,000 kw can be offered, which makes HERZ to an interesting partner for private as well as commercial and industrial customers. 2

4 Possible design variants Scraper chain conveyor systems have an endless chain with cross ribs which runs in a closed trough. The slope of the conveyor can be changed by the installation of bows. The scraper chain conveyors are distinguished in 2 variants: 1. Bottom chord conveyor The material is transported on the bottom chord. Material supply Fuel Drop to boiler 2 Drop to boiler 1 Filling device (in that example) switchable between boiler 1 and boiler 2 2. Top chord conveyor The fuel is located on an intermediate fl oor and is transported above the drive elements. Fuel Intermediate fl oor Drop to boiler Material supply (e.g. via thrust rod) 4

The chain conveyor is transporting the fuel to the combustion chamber.
