1 Indiegogo Project Far-UV Sterilray Technical information Healthy Environment Innovations LLC (HEI) intends to sell 1,500 Far-UV GermBuster-Air units for residential homes. Meeting our sales goal will allow HEI to borrow the money necessary to complete the Company s infrastructure and allow large-scale production. We need the necessary funds to build lamp manufacturing stations to process 25 lamps at a time. Three stations would allow HEI to produce 2,000 lamps per month. This level of production will allow us to keep pace with large orders, and attract the large distributors that require product on the shelf before they are willing to talk with us. Far-UV Sterilray Technology will revolutionize the way people disinfect surfaces and air. HEI s mission is to improve the health, the well-being, and the productivity of people around the world by creating safe, germ-free environments. HEI has filed a number of patent applications and has a patent pending on it s first application. HEI has developed unique products and capability with this Technology that can make a significant reduction of pathogens and toxins in the air and on surfaces. The Company s goal is to develop this market and become a leader for improving the well-being and productivity of people around the world by making their environment healthier. The commercial applications for Far-UV Sterilray are too numerous to list: Many industries have the need for dry, chemical- free disinfection. There are many applications that need routine and daily high-level disinfection. HEI expects to partner with leaders in each niche market and become the Intel inside for disinfection applications. We at HEI see Far-UV Sterilray as a Technology that enables people to add high-level disinfection to applications and areas never before possible. HEI will always produce the lamps and power supplies and provide them to our partners for their applications. Prototype of GermBuster-Air Unit (Production model will be slightly different.) Several members of the HEI team have experience in design and manufacturing. We have hired an industrial and manufacturing designer to develop a product that is both eye-catching and manufacturable. We are ready to initiate the manufacturing engineering process - taking our prototype and turning it into a mass-manufacturable design - as soon as we reach our Indiegogo goal. With HEI s strong commitment to ISO risk assessment & ISO 9001 quality control, we have the processes in place to ensure that we deliver GermBuster-Air units on schedule. 273 Locust Street, Suite B * Dover, NH *

2 WHAT IS FAR-UV STERILRAY TECHNOLOGY? One fifth of a second... That's all it takes for Far-UV Sterilray to eliminate 99.98% of the world's most harmful bacteria at 500 cubic feet per minute (cfm) in an airstream. With unmatched speed, convenience and effectiveness, the GermBuster-Air is changing the world of HVAC air handling installations through its groundbreaking use of Far-UV Sterilray Technology. Most UV products deactivate pathogens... Far-UV Sterilray destroys pathogens. The secret is a patented technology that uses Far-UV, a wavelength high in photon energy that is up to 1,000 times more effective than germicidal UV-C technology. Far-UV Sterilray Technology destroys rather than alters the DNA of pathogens. Inactivation vs Kill Before the development of Sterilray, all UV lamps produced a specific wavelength of nanometers (commonly called UVC, 254nm). The UVC band contains wavelengths called Germicidal because they alter or flip a microorganism s DNA so that it can no longer reproduce. The photon energy penetrates the outer structure of the cell and alters the DNA molecule to form dimers. This process of DNA modification is called deactivation. However, under certain conditions, dimers produced by 254 wavelengths can flip back and the pathogens can again start to replicate. Sterilray produces a wavelength in the Far-UV band with much more photon energy. This additional energy breaks either the protein peptide bonds or the disulfide bonds of the DNA, totally killing the microorganism. 273 Locust Street, Suite B * Dover, NH *

3 Action Time 254nm output of photon energy is measured in microwatt seconds. New 254nm lamps will produce UV energy in the range of 500 microwatts per square centimeter. A 254nm lamp close to a surface would need more than 100 seconds to deactivate pathogens. This output will slowly deteriorate over a one year period and is affected by the number of start cycles. Sterilray s photon effectiveness is 10-1,000 times greater. This increase in effectiveness translates to faster action times making it possible to kill pathogens in less than one second! The Sterilray lamp remains efficient for more than one year. Performance Moving air, especially below 77 F (25 C), has an adverse effect on the 254nm light tubes performance. To compensate, additional lamps are installed and change-out cycles are accelerated. The output and stability of standard UVC lamps are drastically reduced in the presence of cold and/or moving air. Far-UV Sterilray does not use standard lamp cathodes and is therefore not affected by temperature or humidity. The Far-UV Sterilray lamp is RF excited so it can be turned instantly on and off hundreds of times without affecting the lamp life. 273 Locust Street, Suite B * Dover, NH *

8 Why are we asking for your help? Meeting our sales goal will allow HEI to complete the Company s infrastructure, and allow us to move into large-scale production. We need the necessary funds to build stations to process 25 lamps at a time. Three stations would allow HEI to produce 2,000 lamps per month. This level of production will allow us to fill volume orders from large customers and attract the large distributors that require product on the shelf before they are willing to talk with us. The only way to create interest from the economic community and large distributors is through a broad grass-roots movement. What will your pledges be used for? Getting GermBuster-Air to commercial production levels. Production: Buying in bulk significantly reduces the cost of the units. Without the large batch build enabled by this project, the cost of the GermBuster-Air units would be many times higher. It's Time We don't have time to wait for the economy to turn around and banks to start lending to small businesses. We need orders to attract the equity capital we seek. We hope you will join us in our mission to change the way the air is made more healthy for those that suffer from various ailments. We could put 1,500 units into homes in less than eight months. Are you ready for that? What will come out of it? We don't know, but we do know that the targeted customer base below is in need of dry, chemical-free disinfection, and traditional heat and chemical treatments aren't serving their needs. Key Points to Keep in Mind HEI has developed a revolutionary way to disinfect surfaces and air. It is a new non-chemical patented Technology that is quick, dry, efficient and safe.
