CEQA Overview Initial Study/Negative Declaration (ND) prepared to address potential environmental impacts of the proposed project Notice of Intent to adopt the ND was published June 4, 2012 Public review period for ND is June 4, 2012 July 5, 2012 All written comments due to District by July 5, 2012, no oral comments will be accepted

CEQA Overview, continued All projects within the State of California are required to undergo environmental review to determine the environmental impacts associated with implementation of the project Informs the public and decision makers about the project and about the potential environmental impacts Identifies feasible ways to avoid or reduce potential impacts Discloses any significant and unavoidable impacts Provides an opportunity for the public and local/state agencies to comment on the environmental issues

CEQA Overview, continued An ND prepared when the initial study has identified potentially significant effects, but (1) revisions in the project plans or proposals made by, or agreed to by, the applicant before the proposed negative declaration and initial study are released for public review would avoid the effects or mitigate the effects to a point where clearly no significant effect would occur, and (2) there is no substantial evidence in light of the whole record before the public agency that the project, as revised, may have a significant effect on the environment (CCR 15070(b))

26 Light and Glare Analysis The light poles would be equipped with eight luminaires, all directed inward and downward onto the playing field and walkway surfaces. Typical Light Levels Bright and sunny day: 3,000 fc Professional baseball-field lighting: 300 fc Office: 50 to 75 fc Residential lighting at night: 7 to 10 fc Main road junction street lighting: 2.5 to 3.0 fc Bright moonlight: 0.1 fc
