2 General Manager s Letter Anaheim Public Utilities Connects. Residents want a connection with their community and neighborhoods. Schools aspire to connect students to future careers in a global economy. And owners work to connect their businesses with their customers. The electric power that drives a connected world and clean water that sustains a connected environment are the foundational building blocks of any growing city. Anaheim Public Utilities is that foundational conduit in our city, providing reliable and affordable water and power to help our customers thrive as they build families, grow businesses, explore interests, find inspiration, and look to the future. As the only customer-owned, not-for-profit water and power utility in Orange County, everything we do is designed to add value and make connections to the community we serve. This past year, we took significant steps toward our connected future by investing in more renewable resources, electric vehicle charging stations, and recycled water to replenish our groundwater basin. We connected households and businesses with moneysaving programs that reduce water and electricity, saving customers $3.6 million on their utility bills. We connected high school students across the city to mentoring programs, career symposiums, summer internships, and scholarship opportunities as they prepare to become tomorrow s leaders. The connections are clear. Our mission is unmistakable. Anaheim Public Utilities partners with all of our customers to deliver the water and power they need to connect with the future. Dukku Lee General Manager, Anaheim Public Utilities We connected people to some of the most reliable water and power by replacing aging infrastructure, installing new water mains, undergrounding power lines, and automating systems that strengthen our water system and power grid. 1
