2 FLOW MEASUREMENT THAT PROVIDES BOTH COST-EFFECTIVENESS AND QUALITY Worldwide, gas in the natural gas networks needs to be easured, even if it is not billed for exaple for process onitoring and balancing or for leak detection. Carrying out these easureents using conventional gas flow eters is not cost-effective in large pipelines. The coponents used ust eet high quality requireents to withstand the ost challenging environents. The FLOWSIC300 fro SICK, a leading sensor anufacturer, is the ideal solution for this apparent contradiction: It cobines quality coponents and software to produce an econoic gas flow eter for flexible use. It can be installed into existing pipelines with a space-saving layout. 3 Maxiu reliability The FLOWSIC300 easures gas flow using ultrasonic technology. It operates without echanically oving parts, and is largely resistant to containation and wear. The FLOWSIC300 incorporates proven technology and coponents of the custody transfer gas flow eters fro SICK. This ensures axiu reliability even in challenging abient conditions. Siple installation The FLOWSIC300 can be installed into existing pipelines in a space-saving layout, it is versatile in usage and installation costs are low. The installation site can be chosen flexibly thanks to reote electronics. Installation in underground copartents is also possible. For installation with the hot-tapping procedure, it is not necessary to interrupt the ongoing process. Reduced purchase costs The lack of a eter body reduces investent costs in particular with line sizes over 12 inches. After the installation, only the equipent that is absolutely essential reains on the pipeline. For sensor replaceent during operation, a ball valve only fors part of the optional sensor extraction tool that is suitable for different easuring points. Low operating costs The ultrasonic easuring principle does not generate any pressure loss, wear and is low aintenance. The integrated diagnostics also continuously onitor the status of the FLOWSIC300 and warn against incorrect easureents before they occur. This eans that conditionbased aintenance can be carried out and costs can be reduced. Thanks to the low power consuption, the power supply can even be realized via a solar odule. Integrated volue correction With the optionally integrated volue correction functionality using recognized algoriths a flow coputer is unnecessary in any cases. The pressure and teperature sensors can be fed directly into the FLOWSIC300 to achieve this. An easy-to-ipleent connection to standard flow coputers is still guaranteed where required. Powerful software The software offers ultiple data and paraeter logs, coprehensive reports and continuous self-onitoring of the equipent with early warnings. All this cobines to provide an easy-to-understand interface. Product overview The FLOWSIC300 is available in 1-path and 2-path configurations. The 1-path configuration is ideal for installation onto pipes with sall noinal diaeters and for basic control easureents. The 2-path configuration offers a higher level of accuracy, in particular with flow disturbances. Suitable for installation and sensor replaceent during ongoing operations is the universal sensor extraction tool that offers axiu security with pressure lock.
