1 In Association with Introducing the WELSH women MEAN BUSINESS Conference I Can Conference Wednesday 23rd June 2010 Cardiff City Stadium, 8.30am pm A day of inspirational speakers, motivational activities such as board breaking and seminars

2 e I Can Speakers Dear Ladies After the success of the Welsh Women Mean Business awards, I am delighted to introduce the inaugural WWMB I Can Conference. The mission of the WWMB conference is to inspire, empower and educate women to be architects of change in their own lives and in the lives of others. The WWMB conference is designed to be the largest and most dynamic gathering of women in Wales. This annual conference will unite female business leaders, visionaries and young entrepreneurs to share enriching stories of transformation and success, self-empowerment and life lessons. Sarah Cornelius-Price Director, WWMB Jo Elvin As the editor of Glamour Magazine, Jo revolutionised the magazine industry with the handbag sized monthly glossy. She is regularly asked to appear and be an opinion maker on business and fashion/media industry on shows like The Apprentice, GMTV, This Morning. She demonstrates both a tenacity and a willingness to take a risk that will encourage you to look at your own business through new eyes. Hayley Parsons Hayley is founder and chief executive of Gocompare, the official sponsors of the WWMB conference. She was the very clever lady who decided that comparison sites should focus on showing product detail, and not just focus on price. Her unbreakable belief in her product and team of staff is inspirational. Connie Parry Connie is chief executive officer of Hurns Brewing Company and Welsh Women Mean Business Woman of the year Connie s passion for business and creating a truly Welsh brand led to her winning the title earlier this year. Hurns employs more than 60 people, has the Tomos Watkins brand of beers and 17 pubs in its portfolio. e I Can Motivator Tosin Ogunnusi Tosin is founder of the Think! Training & Consultancy and is passionate about people development. He believes that nothing accelerates personal empowerment and group interaction faster than a spot of board breaking! Everyone in attendance will get the opportunity to take part in the motivational session, which encourages, empowers and ignites group interaction and leaves delegates feeling exhilarated.

3 e I Can Seminars Dressed to kill Colour and image specialist, Sue Smart of Positively Smart, delivers image workshops for major organisations geared to helping employees gain confidence both professionally and personally. Working with outfits from T M Lewin in Cardiff Sue will tell us how to find the right clothes to suit individual body shapes and choose colours to make you look healthier and younger. Finally, she will highlight the professional banana skins that undermine your credibility and can harm your personal brand. Is two glasses of wine enough? How many stressed people do you know who head home for a glass or two of wine each night? Health experts are now telling us that more than two glasses a wine a night for women can lead to an increased risk of serious illness. Mark Davies from the Holistic Company will give us advice on managing stress and looking after the health of you and your employees. Where the buck stops This is one seminar you can t afford to miss. A leading legal consultant will tell directors and business owners the truth abut their responsibilities in the work place and how you are ultimately accountable for mistakes made by employees. This seminar will also be a great source of information for employment law, how to carry out employment investigations and the importance or record keeping. e I Can Exhibition Village During the day there will be the opportunity to visit stands from a mix of organisations including legal & accounting services, retailers, training providers and beauty services. Some of our beauty businesses will be offering delegates appointments to have head massages, pedicures and other treatments during the day. These appointments will be free but allocated on a first come first serve basis. Appointments can be booked once delegates have submitted their booking forms. e I Can Refreshment Stops Tea, coffee and water will be on tap throughout the day to keep our delegates refreshed. The delegate rate also includes your lunch and we will be giving three delegates (chosen randomly from a hat that morning) the chance to sit next to one of the key speakers and enjoy a one to one chat. This is your opportunity to pick their brains about business success tips! To join us on the 23rd June, please complete and return the booking form.
