3 OVERVIEW This guide has been designed to help you understand the reporting capabilities of the Harbortouch Echo POS System. Within the Echo software, you have the ability to generate all of your reports quickly and easily. However, from the Echo terminal, you can only print the End of Day X-Report. To print and download your reports, you will need to access the reports through Lighthouse TM. Lighthouse is an online portal where you can view, download, and print your Echo reports from any computer. This is also where you will be able to check your processing statements and batches. Please see the Lighthouse Guide for instructions on how to access reports on Lighthouse. This reporting guide also provides a short description of each of the reports available on the Echo system. These include: Financial Overview: This is the main overview report showing your daily totals. Ticket Detail: Lists all of your transactions for a certain time period. Item Sales Summary: Provides an overview of your sales of all items. Sales Summary By: Provides an overview of sales, filterable by department, item, employee, order type and customer. Tender Type Summary: Lists the number of transactions for each tender type. Quantity on Hand: Shows you how many of each item you have in stock. Discount Summary: Shows you how much you have discounted in total. Sales & Labor Summary: Provides a breakdown of sales and labor by hour. Labor by Employee: Shows each employee s overall hours worked. Labor by Employee by Job: Shows each employee s overall hours worked and which job they were working during that time. Labor Detail: Shows exactly when your employees clocked in and out, what job they were working, total hours, and total paid time. Employee Directory: Lists all of your Employees in the system. Tax Form: 4070: Shows all of your employees cash and credit tips. PAGE 1

4 ACCESSING REPORTS THROUGH THE ECHO TERMINAL Within the Echo software, you have the ability to generate all of your reports quickly and easily. However, from the Echo terminal, you can only print the End of Day X-Report. 1. Go to Manager > Reports. 2. The reports available are on the left side of the screen. Select the report you would like to view. To filter the time period for the report, adjust the date and time at the top of the screen. 3. Once you have adjusted the date and time, press Generate Report to load the report. From the Echo system, you can only view the reports. To print or export reports, you will need to go to hto.harbortouch.com. PAGE 2

5 OVERVIEW OF AVAILABLE REPORTS Financial Overview: This report is focused on the totals for a specific date range. It provides a useful overview of sales and other financial metrics. Profit Margin: Gives a cost vs. price analysis and total profit by item. (This report will not show on Lighthouse TM. This is only available on the terminal.) Ticket Detail: This report displays all of the transactions that were processed within the specified time period. It lists the order type, customer (if specified), payment type, and employee as well as any discounts or tips applied to the order. PAGE 3

6 OVERVIEW OF AVAILABLE REPORTS (CONTINUED) Item Sales Summary: This report displays a list of all items sold during the specified time period so you can track sales trends and identify your top selling and worst selling items. Sales Summary By: This report allows you to sort sales by Item, Department, Order Type, Employee, and Customer. Choose the appropriate filter from the dropdown list to sort as desired. Tender Type Summary: This report will break down your transactions by tender type. It will show how many transactions were paid with each tender type, the total amount of sales on each tender type, and the total amount of tips left on each tender type. PAGE 4

7 OVERVIEW OF AVAILABLE REPORTS (CONTINUED) Cash Drawer Detail: Provides a detailed list of which employees performed any cash drawer functions and at what time. (This report will not show on Lighthouse. This is only available on the terminal.) Quantity on Hand: If you have been tracking the inventory amounts in the Item Tracking section of Manager Settings, this report will give you a list of how many of each item you have in stock. Discount Summary: This report displays a list of all discounts that have been applied. It will show the name of the discount, how many items this discount has been used on, and the total dollar amount that has been discounted. PAGE 5

This is only available on the terminal.) Sales & Labor Summary: This report lists all of your sales by hour so you can identify your busiest times of the day and see how many employees were on the clock at that time. Labor by Employee: This report shows each employee that worked during the specified time. It includes the number of shifts they worked, the time they clocked in, time on break and total paid time. Choose the appropriate filter from the dropdown list to sort as desired. PAGE 6

It includes the time they clocked in, time on break, and total paid time as well as how many shifts worked and the job assigned to them during those shifts. Labor Detail: This report shows each employee that worked during the specified time. It includes the time they clocked in, the time they clocked out, time on break, and total paid time as well as how many shifts worked and the job assigned to them during those shifts. Employee Directory: This report displays a list of all employees in the system and their contact information. PAGE 7
