This may also include providing these services at any other Link4Life facility should it be deemed necessary. Link4Life and its partners at RMBC work within national guidelines and legislation. There is no provision for smoking. 1. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB The post holder will lead on the creation, development, management and delivery of the community engagement programme related to Dippy s visit to Rochdale in The post holder will be expected to manage the project, from the initial planning stage through to the final stage, liaising with a range of partner organisations and multiple stakeholders throughout the process. A significant aim of the role is to engage visitors with the key themes of the Dippy Programme, ensuring that the community have a sense of ownership of the project. They must consult different communities to develop and, where needed deliver a range of exciting events and activities linked to the exhibition, and to the wider aims of Touchstones Rochdale. They should increase service users across the Borough through the creation of events in all areas of arts, culture and heritage as set out in the Dippy action plan. The post holder will be expected to enable activities and events to be as ambitious and accessible as possible to all residents from within the Borough, and to attract the many visitors from outside the Borough that will be visiting Rochdale during the Dippy project. The post holder will be expected to take a flexible approach to work in order to meet groups out of the usual office hours. In addition, Page 1 of 5 (2017 rev)

2 2. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES a. To devise, plan and implement a high quality, innovative and varied activities and events programme both within Touchstones Rochdale and across the Borough and wider North West Region. b. To lead the community engagement programme surrounding the Dippy offer, including the lead up to the programme. c. To promote the project both internally and externally and recruit participants for the project. d. To ensure there is a balanced, cohesive programme which is relevant to different demographics. e. To work with heritage organisations, artists and funders to commission new projects, courses and/or performances. f. To source and apply for funding streams to support and grow the programme. g. To liaise with other teams in the Arts & Heritage Service and across Link4Life to ensure there is a relevant offer to accompany the Dippy exhibition and events programme. h. To represent the service at meetings within Link4Life and externally where appropriate. i. To maintain and develop the utilisation of existing spaces management software used within Link4Life. j. To maintain and develop the utilisation of existing ticketing software used within Link4Life. k. To develop positive relationships with key partners and stakeholders to support the events programme. l. Contribute to the development of strategies for Arts & Heritage services Boroughwide. m. To ensure that appropriate health & safety standards are met for events, including the production of risk assessments and event plans. n. To track and report information about service users in line with Key Performance Indicators. o. Complete evaluation reports for the duration of the project, linked to events and exhibition. p. Facilitate site visits to various venues with group participants. 3. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES a. To undertake other such duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined by the Arts & Heritage Manager, Head of Service or CEO of the Company from time to time in consultation with the post holder and, if he/she wishes, with the relevant Trade Union Representative b. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, at different levels and from diverse backgrounds.
