Organisation: Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness (SUSF) is a dynamic organisation providing sporting, recreation and fitness services to the University and general community. This involves management of over 40 sporting clubs, a number of fitness, health and other sport-related facilities, and the coordination of University and community-based sport and recreation programs The High Performance department serves to provide support to student athletes in their quest for academic and sporting excellence. The department encapsulates the Elite Athlete Program, Physical Preparation Department and competitive sporting clubs and their staff to achieve the highest standards possible. Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness has produced 140 Olympians and 111 Australian Rugby Union representatives - 92 of whom are Wallabies. We are home to the WNBL Sydney Uni Flames, which competes in the Women's National Basketball League. The Sydney University Football Club is the oldest and most successful Rugby program in Australia boasting

2 many Super 15 contracted players. Sydney University Athletics Club is one of the oldest athletics clubs in the country and has a proud history of strong performances at Australian University games, Commonwealth Games and Olympics. Our swimming program was recently ranked in the top 5 in Australia and our Rowing & Waterpolo programs compete nationally and consistently provide athletes for International competition. The SUANFC (Aussie rules Club) competes in the 2 nd tier national AFL competition. General Description: The reports directly to the High Performance Manager. The is responsible for the development management, organisation, promotion, implementation and administration of the following strength & conditioning programs and delivery both at training and competition in line with sport seasonal requirements; Aussie Rules (Men), Swimming (Men & Women), Netball (Women) and other SUSF EAP Scholars as required. General Duties: (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) (j) (k) (l) Attend weekly meeting with High Performance Manager or any other SUSF staff member as directed; Attendance at all meetings (weekly) with athletes, coaches, medical staff and competitions scheduled for each allocated sport as directed by High Performance Manager; Attend and conduct all team group training sessions during the pre and in season periods for all allocated sports; Personally conduct all indoor and outdoor team group training sessions for all allocated sports; Personally conduct individual athlete sessions as requested by coaches and directed by the High Performance Manager; Attendance at all Home & Away matches for SUANFC NEAFL team; Attendance at other allocated sport competitions (minimum of 3 per season) as directed by the High Performance Manager; Availability to attend allocated sports training camps; Notify the High Performance Manager of testing dates of each allocated sport and provide results of testing to the High Performance Manager within 5 working days; Chief communicator/manager to all allocated athletes on all matters relating to their physical preparation; Utilise new apparatus, methods and technology to maximise the development of all allocated athletes; Complete all administration and data analysis tasks relating to the physical preparation of all athletes in allocated sports. Sport Specific Duties: Group Conditioning Program Management 1. Aussie Rules (Men) - SUANFC 1.1 Design strength & conditioning programs in liaison with the SUANFC Head Coach and SUSF

3 High Performance Manager to incorporate into pre/post/in-season scheduling. 1.2 Attend all meetings, indoor & outdoor sessions and home & away fixtures as directed by the High Performance Manager. 1.3 Liaise with medical staff and coaches to facilitate rehabilitation and/or return from injury timeline for required athletes. 1.4 Design and regularly conduct specific training of athletes to ensure improvements are program has testing protocols and standards to achieve. Ensure suitable liaison with Coaches to place testing periods in annual plans. 1.5 Provide the High Performance Manager with a written monthly report outlining tasks 1.6 Ensure each Conditioning session is planned and delivered personally. 1.7 Develop a sport science strategy for Aussie Rules. Utilise equipment and research to develop GPS tracking etc. 2. Swimming (Men & Women) 2.1 Design a strength & conditioning program in liaison with the SUSF Senior Swimming Coach and SUSF High Performance Manager to incorporate into pre/post/in-season scheduling. 2.2 Attend all meetings, strength sessions and meets as required by the High Performance Manager. 2.3 Liaise with medical staff and coach to facilitate rehabilitation and/or return from injury timeline for required athletes. 2.4 Design and regularly conduct specific training of athletes to ensure improvements are program has testing protocols and standards to achieve. Ensure suitable liaison with Coaches to place testing periods in annual plans. 2.5 Provide the High Performance Manager with a written monthly report outlining tasks 2.6 Ensure each Conditioning session is planned and delivered personally. 2.7 Develop a sport science strategy for Swimming. Netball (Women) 3.1 Design strength & conditioning programs in liaison with the SUNC Head Coach, SUNC Operations Manager and SUSF Club Development Manager to incorporate into pre/post/inseason scheduling. 3.2 Attend all meetings, indoor & outdoor sessions and fixtures as required by the High Performance Manager. 3.3 Liaise with medical staff, coach and operations manager to facilitate rehabilitation and/or return from injury timeline for required athletes. 3.4 Design and regularly conduct specific training of athletes to ensure improvements are

General SUSF Scholars 4.1 Design specific strength & conditioning programs in liaison with individual SUSF Scholars to incorporate into their pre/post/in-season scheduling. 4.2 Attend all meetings, indoor & outdoor sessions as required by High Performance Manager. 4.3 Liaise with individual SUSF Scholars, their medical staff and coach to facilitate rehabilitation and/or return from injury timeline. 4.4 Design and regularly conduct specific training of individual SUSF Scholars to ensure improvements are achieved and physical capabilities are maintained. 4.5 Provide the High Performance Manager with a written monthly report outlining the names of individual SUSF Scholars undertaking a Strength and Conditioning program. 4.6 Ensure each Conditioning session is planned and delivered. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Professional sport industry experience ASCA Level 2 (minimum) Conditioning accreditation Strong communication & interpersonal skills Organisational & time management skills Degree in Exercise & Sports Science or equivalent Availability to work early mornings/evenings/nights and weekends as required Senior First Aid Certificate Current NSW Driver s Licence Accountability: This position reports directly to the High Performance Manager & Executive Director, SUSF.
