1 Position Description and Posting Position Title: Executive Director Starting Date: June 1, 2011 Salary: Range of $55,000 $75,000. Status: Exempt Location: 100 West Boston Street, Suite 1, Chandler, Arizona Supervision Exercised: Management, Strategic Leadership, Special Projects and Events, Communications and Public Relations, Marketing, Vision Setting Supervision Received: DCCP Board of Directors (Board President) General Position Description: Implement the Board of Directors vision for the revitalization of the Downtown Chandler and the Redevelopment District as found in the City of Chandler s Downtown Redevelopment Plan). Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following; others may be assigned): 1. Manage the DCCP s daily operations and staff team in accordance with Arizona Statutes, and other applicable federal, state, local and non-profit laws. 2. Work in Collaboration with all Downtown Stakeholders to create and evaluate critical goals of a strategic plan to address Board Development, Business Development, District Relations, Marketing and other Task Committees. 3. Draft proposed budgets consistent with each standing committee of the DCCP s needs and Strategic planning efforts for the fiscal year. 4. Collaborate with the private sector to foster redevelopment and guide negotiations of private-public partnerships and recruitment of sponsorships. 5. Manage the DCCP s redevelopment programs and capital improvement projects with a focus on measurable results. 6. Collaborate with Marketing Consultants to plan and promote events of the BID and Historic Downtown Chandler; Distribute Press Releases; Write and develop regular newsletters and e-updates; Facilitate Website updates and resources available to stakeholders. 7. Implement a volunteer program to enhance the climate and atmosphere in the BID area. 8. Work in partnership with the City and Key stakeholders in downtown improvement and beautification projects including special events and fundraising activities. 9. Represent the DCCP at events, meetings of both internal and external stakeholders. 10. Manage the DCCP s communications to external and internal audiences. Work cooperatively with all key stakeholders in the downtown area including merchants, property owners, civic groups and local government staff and officials to undertake joint activities to encourage a cooperative business climate and working relationship among downtown businesses, organizations, City Committees and public officials.
