2 Job description Job Purpose: Your contribution to the Aston s mission, exploitable research, employable graduates will be to support the Careers+Placements Team s strategic key performance indicator of 100% placements and 35% abroad by Main Duties/Responsibilities: Support the International Placements agenda with the development, implementation and administration of international employability projects for undergraduate students and graduates with a focus on Study Abroad placements. Support the Placements Team and Study Abroad Coordinator with the marketing, promotion and business development activities to stimulate and increase demand for study placements. Support the Study Abroad Coordinator with the maintenance and updating of student, Partner University and school specific data related to outgoing Study Abroad activity. Keep Study Abroad information up to date, accurate and audit trailable, in collaboration with the Study Abroad Coordinator and other key stakeholders. Work collaboratively with the wider International Projects and Student Support teams, support the promotion of Study Abroad opportunities to second year students as part of their placement option. This may include providing information and materials for information at sessions, international placement events and careers fairs. Assist with the coordination and administration of the Study Abroad application process, with a focus on using the systems available, mainly SITS, MAP and MoveOn. Support students by providing advice on the registration process for their host institution. This may include offering guidance on registration requirements, financial planning, language acquisition and accommodation applications. Coordinate the process of obtaining transcripts centrally from Partner Universities at the end of the Study Abroad placement, keeping records and distributing them to the Schools of Study in preparation for the Exam Boards. Support the maintenance and regular updates of the Study Abroad website and other Study Abroad documentation and materials in collaboration with the Study Abroad Coordinator. Support the Study Abroad Coordinator in the coordination and analysis of the annual Study Abroad survey and preferred location survey to students who have completed a study placement and prospective first year students. Work closely with the Study Abroad Coordinator and Schools to support the implementation of ongoing improvements to ensure delivery of an efficient service to Study Abroad applicants, Schools and Partner Universities. Support the Study Abroad Coordinator with hospitality events and activity when meeting existing and prospective Partner Universities on campus. Maintain the University CRM system with details of Partner Universities and students progress, using this information to provide regular progress updates to the Study Abroad Coordinator and Head of Placements. Support the Placements Team and International Projects Team with the development, implementation and administration of international employability projects for UGs, Graduates and PGs. Work within and ensure compliance with relevant Data Protection, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and other relevant employment related legislation. Undertake any other duties as required by the International Projects Manager and Head of Placements in alignment with the grade.

4 Person specification Education and qualifications Essential Educated to A level or equivalent, or experience in a similar level and type of role.
