3 ` 1 PURPOSE The purpose of an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is to facilitate and organize employer and employee actions during workplace emergencies. Well developed emergency plans and proper employee training will result in fewer and less severe employee injuries and less structural damage to the facility during emergencies 2 SCOPE 2.1 This policy shall be applicable to all Tetra Pak Inc. locations and operations at customer or project sites. 2.2 This policy shall be effective July 20, RESPONSIBILITIES 3.1 Building Manager Fulfill duties of the emergency coordinator Develop emergency action plans for their locations Ensure emergency action plans are readily available for review by all employees at the locations Coordinate training for location emergency action plans Communicate emergency action plans to visitors and contractors Ensure maintenance of equipment and building systems that are required for location emergency action plans, including but not limited to alarm systems Assign employees to roles and responsibilities for emergency action plans Annually review emergency action plans Coordinate drills for emergency action plans. 3.2 Supervisors, Line Managers, and Functional OHS Leads Ensure employees complete training on the location emergency action plans Ensure employees complete training on site-specific emergency action plans at customer and project sites. 3.3 Employees 4 DEFINITIONS Comply with the requirements of this plan and participate in drills Complete all training required by this plan. 4.1 Emergency Action Plan: A written document designed to facilitate and organize employer and employee actions during workplace emergencies. 4.2 Emergency Coordinator: The person responsible for all aspects of emergency response, including managing emergency operations and directing resources and personnel. 3

4 5 PROCEDURE 5.1 Emergency action plans shall be specific for location and type of emergency and readily available for review by all employees. 5.2 Emergency action plans shall be documented and readily available for review to all employees and their representatives. 5.3 Contact information for location emergency coordinator and individuals responsible for maintaining the emergency-response plan shall be communicated to all employees at the location. 5.4 Each emergency action plan shall include the following: Identify individuals that have roles and responsibilities Equipment required for the implementation of the plan Procedure for reporting the emergency; System to alert employees of the emergency; and Contact information for outside emergency services required for response. 5.5 Each Tetra Pak Inc. location shall develop emergency action plans for the following scenarios: Building Fire Evacuations: Specific evacuation routes (including building maps); Emergency assembly points and alternates (as necessary); Critical operations, if any, that may need to be shut down prior to evacuation; and Post evacuation accounting of Tetra Pak Inc. and visitor personnel Shelter In-Place for Weather Emergencies Procedure for monitoring weather conditions and notifying employees to shelter in-place; Maps with locations of designated shelters; Accounting of employees and visitors; and Providing the all clear Medical Emergencies Assessment of the condition of the injured/ill individual; Appropriate emergency contact phone numbers; Maps with locations of first aid kits and automated external defibrillators; and List of first aid providers Bomb Threat/Suspicious Packages Appropriate responses by an employee receiving a bomb threat via phone, including data that should be gathered; Appropriate reactions in response to the identification of suspicious packages; 4

5 Follow-up actions by the Emergency Coordinator; and Appropriate emergency contact phone numbers Spills Locations of spill equipment; List of spill response employees; and Procedures for handling and disposing of spill cleanup materials. 6 EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN DRILLS 6.1 At least annually, each Tetra Pak Inc. location shall conduct drills for building fire evacuations and severe weather shelter-in place. 6.2 Results of the drill shall be documented to identify any issues and identify opportunities for improvement in the communications and evacuation process. 7 TRAINING 7.1 All employees must be trained on the emergency action plans for their location. Training shall be conducted upon hire and annually thereafter. At a minimum, training shall cover the following topics: Evacuation routes and assembly points; Building alarm systems (visual and audible); Post evacuation/shelter in-place personnel accounting procedures; Shelter in-place locations and conditions; Potential emergencies in the workplace and appropriate response actions; and Critical operations which may require shutdown prior to evacuation. 7.2 The Building Manager shall coordinate training for employees assigned to roles for an emergency action plan. Training required by other policies, such as Fire Protection and First Aid/Blood Borne Pathogens shall also be completed. Such training shall be provided: When the plan is developed or the employee is assigned initially to a job and annually thereafter; When the employee's responsibilities under the plan change; and When the plan is changed. 7.3 At a minimum, visitors and contractors at a Tetra Pak Inc. location shall be trained on the building fire evacuation and severe weather shelter in-place emergency action plans. 5
