Staff and Management Aspire To: We will be recognized as a national model for helping to; 1) inspire a transformation of the health insurance market, 2) reduce health care costs, 3) make Colorado the healthiest state in the country. We will earn the respect and trust of individuals and businesses by helping to drive innovation and ensure superior quality and outcomes. Our employees will be driven by the belief that they are creating a world where all people, no matter where they live or how much they make, have the opportunity to be healthy and secure. 6

7 Instructions What is an Assumption? With limited time and resources, we can t be everything to everyone and we need to determine what exactly it is our organization wants to focus on and accomplish to meet customer expectations. Identify assumptions that Connect for Health Colorado operates under that is in the organization s control. For each assumption identified, determine if this is an assumption that makes sense to keep moving forward or if it should be questioned. o For example, one assumption is that Connect for Health Colorado serves all Medicaid people coming to the marketplace but we may want to question this assumption for the future. Familiarize yourself with the concept of an Assumption and relate it to how Connect for Health Colorado can benefit its customers. 7

8 Assumptions Next Steps Next steps will be to review the ideas and conduct other similar sessions with key stakeholder groups. We will compile results and review for consideration to incorporate in our upcoming priorities and objectives. This exercise is a primary focus of the data gathering and analysis stage of our strategic planning process, taking place right now. We appreciate your ideas and creative thinking to help Connect for Health Colorado continue to serve our customers. THANK YOU for your participation! 8
