Min purpose of the job Plnning & Performnce Reporting Mnger Job Description To work collbortively with theme tems nd other senior collegues to develop nd operte performnce reporting systems (including key performnce indictors) tht ssess progress ginst the nnul pln nd strtegy To led on the production nd communiction of timely nd fit-for-purpose monthly performnce nd periodic strtegic performnce reporting to trck the chrity s progress in delivering the nnul pln, strtegy nd projects To mintin n up to dte orgnistionl risk register (including the identifiction nd monitoring of key strtegic risks), ensuring tht chnges in risk re promptly identified s prt of the directorte s reporting requirements to the Senior Ledership Tem (SLT), the Bord nd the udit committee To support the Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce nd theme tem leds in identifying issues of concern or risk regrding the delivery of orgnistionl plns nd projects To ssist the Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce in co-ordinting the production of the nnul pln nd content relevnt to the Chief Executive s report to the bord 2. Brief description of directorte The directorte is responsible for the ongoing finncil mngement nd sttutory reporting for the orgnistion, including monthly mngement ccounting nd reporting, finncil opertions processing nd relted internl finncil control systems for the chrity. Through delivery of effective systems nd processes, the directorte leds on ll spects of plnning, performnce nd risk mngement reporting. Working closely with the Bord of Trustees, the tem provides effective ledership nd governnce support to the Bord nd its sub-committees nd groups. 4. Scope of the job A. Mnge robust performnce reporting processes, ensuring close monitoring of the chrity s impct nd success mesures, nd producing timely, ccurte reports Ensure tht the performnce reporting to the SLT is provided in timely mnner nd to high stndrd of presenttion Ensure tht routine bi-monthly performnce reporting to the Bord of Trustees is provided in timely mnner to bord pper dedlines nd to high stndrd of presenttion, ensuring tht the key issues nd messges hve been identified nd re clerly communicted Ensure tht strtegic theme performnce reporting is provided in timely mnner nd to high stndrd of presenttion to theme leds hed of their periodic theme tem meetings Ongoing review of performnce reporting systems, introducing chnges to reporting formt where pproprite in connection with the Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce nd in response to chnges in requirements coming from the SLT or the Bord of Trustees Respond effectively to d hoc performnce reporting requests from the SLT, the Bord of Trustees or relevnt sub-committees Prepre periodic updtes to the SLT nd the Bord of Trustees on the progress towrds meeting key performnce indictors (KPIs) Ensure tht the tem structure, systems, processes nd other vilble resources re fit-for-purpose for delivering ccurte, high qulity, well communicted reporting on timely bsis to the different stkeholders Support the Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce with the development nd delivery of relevnt trining to support new mngers in understnding the performnce reporting processes Ensure the ongoing review of the performnce reporting system CorVu (nd dditionl reporting systems s pproprite) to deliver more efficient, effective nd fit-for-purpose systems nd processes Ensure tht Performnce Reporting tem is proctively engged in wreness of relevnt technologicl developments within the chrity nd the wider sector nd tht culture of continuous improvement is chmpioned B. Support the chrity s nnul pln process Ensure cler communiction to SLT nd other key collegues on timely bsis of the timetble, key milestones nd reporting formts for the production of the nnul pln nd liise with Finnce Business Prtnering Mnger to lign it to the nnul budget process. Ensure tht ll key contributors to the nnul pln understnd their respective roles nd responsibilities nd ny interreltionship with other key stkeholders in the process Ensure tht significnt issues rising during the plnning process tht put the timely completion of mening pln t risk re esclted to the Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce on timely bsis Provide reports to Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce who updtes t SLT meetings of progress of the nnul pln nd budget process, ensuring key issues for SLT re promptly communicted Ensure tht ny nnul pln relted ppers produced for the Bord of Trustees re of high stndrd, produced within bord pper dedlines, well written nd focus on the key strtegic nd opertionl issues nd priorities nd wht KPI mesures will be used to ssess delivery of the pln Support the Deputy Director of Finnce & Performnce with the content nd structure for dditionl components of the pln / strtegy documents (e.g. Chief Executive s HR_JDPlnningndPerformnceReportingMnger
