1 Welcome to the WIL Industry Engagement Survey This survey forms part of the consultation process with industry representatives and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) practitioners to inform research findings. This will lead to the development of user friendly resources that meet the needs of industry and community partners. This Office for Learning and Teaching funded research will strengthen partnerships between universities and industry and community with the ultimate intention of improving the WIL experience for students which in turn benefits employers, business, industry and the Australian economy. Your input is valuable for ensuring resources meet the needs of industry and community partners. Thank you for your time and commitment. This will only take 15 minutes of your time.

4 Your organisation may participate in WIL activities in various ways. WIL is the application of theory in a practice based environment to ensure the relevance and currency of the student experience. Examples of WIL include WIL placements or internships, industry based projects, case studies and simulations based on the work place. This voluntary survey invites you to comment on the types of resources that industry and community partners would find useful in supporting their involvement in WIL.

7 Employers have identified a lack of resources to guide and support host organisations as one of the key challenges for providing WIL opportunities for students.
