1 Charlotte Thng Head of Human Resources, Singapore Standard Chartered Bank Charlotte Thng is Head of Human Resources, Singapore of Standard Chartered Bank and is a member of the country management team. In this role, she is responsible for leading the HR function through implementing strategic human resource programmes and initiatives to attract and develop talent, build an agile, efficient and diverse organisation and nurture the best-in-class conduct and performance culture, in partnership with the management team and other key stakeholders in the country. Charlotte has been with Standard Chartered Bank for a total of 14 years and has held a range of senior Country and Global HR roles in the Bank. Prior to assuming her current role as Head, Human Resources, Singapore in April 2016, Charlotte was Head of Human Resources, Financial Institutions, Corporate Finance and COO of the Bank. Previously, she was also Head of Human Resources for various businesses including Retail Banking, Wealth Management as well as Corporate and Institutional Banking. Previous to joining Standard Chartered, Charlotte had a decade of regional HR leadership experience in the IT industry. Born in Singapore, Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Banking with National University of Singapore, and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources with Rutgers University, US. 1

2 Cindy Dermawan Head Talent and Learning Management, Diversity and Inclusion Citi Singapore Cindy Dermawan is an HR professional with 15 years of experience specialising in Talent Management, Learning and Leadership Development. She was appointed the Head of Talent and Learning Management, Diversity and Inclusion, Citi Singapore in June In this role, Cindy provides leadership and strategy for the Talent and Learning space and leads the Diversity and Inclusion effort for Citi Singapore. Cindy is responsible for talent management and succession planning at the country leadership level, as well as professional and leadership development programmes for employees across all levels. Cindy joined Citi in 2005 as Instructional Designer for the Operational and Technology unit and moved to a Learning and Development leadership role in In this role, she was responsible for designing and implementing learning solutions for the global consumer banking system and eventually expanded to managing employee learning and career development. Following which, Cindy took on a Group Learning and Development Programme Manager role in Standard Chartered Bank in 2010, where she was responsible for managing the Consumer Banking Branch Manager Programmes. Cindy returned to Citi in 2011 and has held various leadership roles in Learning Development and Talent Management since. Cindy started her career in the United States of America as Performance Development Consultant at Walgreens and subsequently an Instructional Designer for R.R. Donelley and Sons in Chicago, USA. She holds a Master of Arts in Organisational Communications and Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens. 2

3 Joanne Abbott People Advisory Partner Ernst & Young Joanne is a Partner at EY in the People Advisory Services based in Singapore. Over the past 20 years, Joanne has helped her clients in their transformation journeys define, implement and realize the value through focusing on operating model change, process, systems as well as people related change. Joanne has spend the first half of her career based in South Africa, supporting clients across Africa and Europe and since 2008, Joanne has been based in Singapore, working extensively across Asia Pacific. This global journey has been exciting and has provided me with opportunities to work with a range of local and global organizations. More recently, Joanne has worked with clients to think through the impact of digital on the workforce in their organisations and how digital fundamentally changes the way people work, learn and engage. In addition, Joanne has led and developed cross regional, multi-cultural global teams through out her career and is passionate about developing her team s capabilities and building high performing, diverse and engaged teams. 3

4 Khoo Teng Cheong Managing Director & Group Head Learning and Talent Development DBS Bank Khoo Teng Cheong (T C) is currently Managing Director and Group Head of Learning and Talent Development for DBS Bank, reporting in to the Group Head of HR. In this position, he is responsible for the full range of Learning, Leadership and Talent Development activities for all the bank s staff across 18 markets globally. Before assuming this latest role in early 2016, T C was formerly Head of Group Planning for DBS Bank for 7 years. Prior to joining DBS in 2008, T C worked for nearly 20 years in Citigroup where he held a wide variety of line and staff management roles in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and the US (New York). He started his career in 1989 with Citibank Singapore as a derivatives trader, and since then had worked in increasingly senior positions in corporate banking, treasury management and strategy and business development. In his long career in banking, T C has also served on a wide range of external boards. He is currently a board director in St Luke s Community Hospital where he is also the Chair of the HR board committee. T C is a product of the UK tertiary education system. He has a BSc (Honours) in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University, an MSc in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, as well as an MLitt in Divinity from St Andrews University. 4

5 Lydia Wee CEO The Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) Lydia was seconded to the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) as Chief Executive Officer in Nov In her current role, she oversees the strategic and business operations of IBF, which seeks to empower practitioners with capabilities for a robust Asian financial industry. The IBF works closely with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and relevant government agencies, industry associations, financial institutions, training providers as well as institutes of higher learning to identify competency requirements and develop a responsive financial sector training infrastructure. Prior to her current role, Lydia was with the MAS for 16 years. She started her career in the Corporate Finance Division after graduating from NTU, and was part of the team that drafted the provisions for offers of investments in the first Securities and Futures Act. She was also responsible for updating the Code for Collective Investment Schemes, and introducing the policy framework for Business Trusts. She moved to the Capital Policy Division in 2005, and worked on the implementation of the Basel II framework for locally incorporated banks. She helped with the initial review of economic models used by banks in their internal capital adequacy and assessment process, and the development of principles to manage and supervise credit risk concentrations. Following the completion of her Masters at LKY School of Public Policy, Lydia joined the enterprise risk management team in 2010 where she spearheaded the development and implementation of MAS enterprise risk and operational risk frameworks. Lydia went on to head the banking development division in 2012, which was responsible for strategies to encourage global and local banks to grow their business in the region, and enhance Singapore s standing as a financial centre. Her team also supported industry platforms such as MAS International Advisory Panel, Financial Sector Advisory Panel, China Workgroup and the Private Banking Industry Group (PBIG). 5

6 Yap Aye Wee SVP, Head of Learning & Development OCBC Bank Aye Wee joined OCBC Bank in 2008 after 15 years in Singapore Airlines. In OCBC Bank, she held numerous roles including Head, Quality and Service Management, Head Customer Assurance, Head Regional Contact Centre, and Data Protection Officer. In those roles, Aye Wee spearheaded people, technology and infrastructure initiatives to drive and deeply embed customer-centricity in the organization. Aye Wee took over as Head of Learning and Development in 2015 to oversee the strategic partnership to businesses and the development of high impact learning interventions to drive people performance. Aye Wee also oversees the branding and development of the only corporate city-campus in Singapore. Aye Wee is also a Licensed Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Certified by Dr Richard Bandler and co-founder of NLP. Away from work, she is an avid gardener and cook, mother to two lovely children, and foster parent to two pet rabbits. 6
