Program Overview Investing in Women is a dynamic and innovative gender equality initiative funded by the DFAT Aid Program. Investing in Women seeks to empower women economically in South East Asia with the understanding that this will contribute to continued inclusive economic growth in the region. Investing in Women aims to achieve this through supporting: 1) Workplace gender equity; 2) Investments in women s small and medium enterprises; 3) Removal of policy and regulatory barriers to women s economic empowerment; and 4) Advocacy efforts in the region for women s economic empowerment. Investing in Women expects to build voice and the space for women in the private sector, for women in the workforce, and for women running their own businesses. Page 1

Duty Statements: An experienced communications professional, the Advocacy and Communications Senior Account Manager will support the Advocacy and Communications Director and implement the strategic advocacy and communications directions of the Investing in Women program in the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam including the responsibility for major and complex work initiatives, and project management across all activities in markets of program implementation; and, For the successful delivery of Investing in Women s advocacy and communications strategies and activities, the Advocacy and Communications Senior Account Manager will contribute in the development and production requirements of communications materials to support internal capacity-building, and overall budget and resource-management. 5 Specific Duties Project Management Take accountability for activities and requirements, with little cover, and support the Director in identifying specific tasks and external resources as needed, in an efficient and organized manner; Proactively monitor the progress of all advocacy and communications activities against plans, identify risks and report these with solutions to the Director; Lead in the editorial development of various communications materials, and liaise with creative/ communications agencies and support partners for production of multimedia requirements; Coordinate with key stakeholders across more than one country and in liaising with communications and events agencies, media, the academe and other key stakeholder groups in these countries, as needed; Execute communications plans in a manner that is resourceefficient and adheres to project timelines; Handle and manage all the administrative and finance-related paperwork needed when working with different program suppliers; Develop a range of communication materials including but not limited to press releases, speeches, audio-visual presentation scripts, articles, social media content calendars, and brochures (at times, in partnership with a communications agency); As a strong writer (in long and in short form), will develop content across different traditional and emergent media platform; With a strong understanding of media relations strategy, the Advocacy and Communications Senior Account Manager will support the Director in managing relationships with media in the Philippines, Indonesia and/or Vietnam; Develop and execute strategic communications plans that involve multiple audiences and stakeholders; Manage the Investing in Women website to ensure content is current, accurately reflects program activities and provides interesting updates for stakeholders; Support the Director in executing and managing events (small to large scale); and, As a team player, will assists peers in problem solving, and leverages talents of colleagues in own problem solving. 6 Financial and Administrative: Develop accurate project budgets ensuring that these are in line with approved budget plans and procedures; Monitors and tracks budgets and expenditures and ensures effective budget monitoring; Provides monthly summary updates on status of billing and resource allocations to the Director; and, Develop contracts and ensures adherence to contract agreements. Capacity Building: Work with the Director to identify and address internal knowledge gaps across the program particularly relating to advocacy and communications (including through training, resource requirements); Encourage collaborative working and the production of joint strategies and plans; and, Support increased advocacy and communications capacity in countries of implementation. Core Competencies: Delivers Results Builds Internal and External Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty Develops People Communicates Sets Vision and Direction Demonstrates Sound Financial and Business-Related Practices Builds Teams and Cooperation Promotes Technical Excellence and Quality Promotes Diversity Acts as a Role Model Requirements: At least six years experience in developing and implementing multistakeholder, multi-pronged and integrated advocacy and communications campaigns; Preferably has experience working in any of the following industries given the level of speed, high-level of work-quality, independence and work-ethic: - International consulting groups - Communications agencies (public relations, advertising and/or digital communications) - Multinationals (from their respective marketing and/or communications departments) Knowledge and expertise in public relations and public affairs, with proven experience in developing press-related and other PR materials (i.e. and not limited to press releases, bylined pieces, opinion-editorials, etc.) Strong in verbal and written communications and the editorial development of various PR materials across a multitude of communications platforms; Page 6

7 Fluency in English. Fluency in either Bahasa, Tagalog and/or Vietnamese is an advantage; Excellent and deep understanding of women s empowerment issues. Experience in women s economic empowerment advocacy will be an advantage; An excellent understanding of key international, regional and multilateral institutions that promote women s economic empowerment and knowledge of political governmental structures and policy processes, are a plus; High level project management experience and excellent research and analytical skills; and, Has the ability to develop innovative and sound proposals and contract agreements with advocacy and communications possible partners. Key Deliverables Work plan to be developed upon engagement Key Selection Criteria Please prepare and submit a statement of claims against the following key selection criteria: At least six years experience in developing and implementing multi-stakeholder, multipronged and integrated advocacy and communications campaigns; Demonstrated the expertise and experience in public relations and public affairs, and developing press-related and other PR materials (i.e. and not limited to press releases, bylined pieces, opinion-editorials, etc.); Excellent verbal and written communications and the editorial development of various PR materials across a multitude of communications platforms; Demonstrated excellent communication skills in English. Can speak and understand Bahasa, Vietnamese or the Philippine local dialect is an advantage; Deep understanding of women s empowerment issues. Experience in women s economic empowerment advocacy will be an advantage; Excellent understanding of key international, regional and multilateral institutions that promote women s economic empowerment and knowledge of political governmental structures and policy processes, are a plus; Demonstrated high level project management experience and excellent research and analytical skills; Proven ability to develop innovative and sound proposals and contract agreements with advocacy and communications possible partners.
