This 5 day public course is designed to give a comprehensive introduction to the concept and basic features of PDMS. What will you learn? On completion of the course you will have an understanding of the System architecture of AVEVA PDMS and be proficient in the basic modelling skills required to build Mechanical Equipment, Piping and Structural models. The following Modules will be covered in this 5 day course: PDMS Overview/Foundations Basic Equipment Modelling Basic Piping Modelling Basic Structural Modelling Day 1 By the end of Day 1 you will have an understanding of the AVEVA PDMS User Interface, Data structure and 3D environment enabling you to navigate around the model and discipline specific menus. Day 2 At the end of Day 2 you will have created and modified a number of 3D Equipment using standard forms and menus through the use of AVEVA s powerful graphical model editor. Day 3 and 4 Days 3 & 4 will focus on Pipework Modelling. You will gain an understanding and perform different methods of routing pipes within the 3D environment by using tools such as plane move, defined distance and use of the graphical model editor. You will create both flat and sloping lines. You will conduct data consistency checks to ensure piping is correctly modelled and you will learn how to use the clash detection function to ensure your models are clash free. Finally you will create isometrics from some of the modelled lines that you have built throughout the 2 days. Day 5 The last day of training will focus on Structural modelling. Here you will gain an understanding of how to model individual section to a specific standard. You will learn how to manipulate existing sections whilst creating a simple piperack including structural bracing. Upon request we can provide a more detailed agenda. Upon completion of this course you will receive an official AVEVA Training Certificate. Who should attend the course? Designers involved in the detailed 3D design process. Engineers wanting to gain a more in depth understanding of PDMS.
