3 B for Good. Lee May Sustainability Manager The B for Good Program puts our sustainability principles at the heart of what we do. That s why we empower our people to achieve economic goals while contributing to society and the environment. In 2016, we launched B for Good, a program which guides us in our principles of sustainability across the organisation. B for Good is responsible for developing programs and initiatives that deliver positive outcomes for our people, owners and their communities, while measuring our social and environmental impact. We aim to be the best for our customers so we always strive to improve our performance and publicly report on progress in our annual sustainability report. B Corporations represent an emerging group of organisations globally that are using the power of business to deliver positive social and environmental outcomes. B for Good Achievements and Projects. Energy Waste B Corp Certifiication We commenced an energy management project to rethink the way our organisation uses and sources energy. It also identifies strategies that safeguard our business, partners, staff and customers against rising energy prices and infrastructure challenges. We implemented a waste management project to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill. This project has resulted in a 62% increase in the amount of organics and materials that we recycle at our head office in Adelaide. Beyond Bank is the first Bank in Australia to achieve B Corp Certification and did so by doing more good with its products, practices and profits. Over time we will expand our sustainability report and align our metrics to the B Corp framework.
