OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME To support WHO Myanmar country office in implementation of fellowships and GEA components of WHO collaborative programmes, towards the attainment of Universal Health Coverage which is the unifying principle and directional goal for WHO Myanmar country office.the overall objective is contributing to achieve the health-related sustainable development goals by DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES Under the overall supervision and guidance of WR and day-to-day supervision of AO, the incumbent is responsible for: 1. Receiving, registering, reviewing Fellowship Applications Forms (FAFs) and processing training programmes, study tour proposals and participation in international meetings; 2. Preparing all correspondence on own initiative on fellowships, GEAs and short courses, seminars, consultations, meetings, training workshop,including invitations, submission and clearance of candidates' visas and travel arrangements, health insurance certificates; 3. Maintaining monitoring of financial implementation of fellowship and GEA components and ensuring availability of funds if the activity is continuing in the next biennium. Initiating programme changes to cover the shortfalls and utilizing savings; 4. Following up on required training reports by fellows and participants; 5. Preparing periodic reports on the status of the fellowship, training activities including statistical data; 6. Preparing background materials on programme monitoring and fellowships, training activities for in-house discussion and briefing sessions; 7. Recording all GEA invitations, study tours, training courses, for which nominations are invited from the Ministry of Health & Sports, and related ministries, initiating all correspondence and follow-up activities; initiating TAs for participants and preparing budget estimates by collecting data from internet and official sources; 8. Provide briefing to fellows and participants before departure to attend WHO sponsored activities, meetings, trainings or workshops, answering relevant enquires; 9. To represent WHO in inter-agency meetings dealing with common services or common premises issues, when requested; 10. Performing other relevant duties as assigned by WRor AO. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Essential: Completion of secondary school education Desirable: Relevant university degree would be an asset Experience Essential: At least seven years progressive experience, in administrative work including experience in information analysis, data processing, programme development and management or other related programme activities Desirable: Experience in WHO or another UN agency is an asset. Skills Ability to use computer applications in the monitoring of data of the workplan for FEL and GEA components and also to keep track of meetings & training workshops Excellent communication and language skills WHO Competencies 1/2

Desirable: REMUNERATION WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at USD 18,569 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave. Note for WHO staff: You do not need to create an account because it has already been created for you. From the Careers at WHO website, click Vacancies WHO access, then enter your WHO username and password. APPLYING FOR A VACANCY AT WHO QUICK GUIDE FOR CANDIDATES LOGGING IN If you already have an account, enter your unique login information when you click the Sign In buttonto begin the application process. For WHO staff, enter your WHO username and password. CREATING/UPDATING YOUR WHO CANDIDATE PROFILE You can access your profile by doing one of the following: Click the down arrow beside your name, then click Profile. Click the My Jobpage tab, then click on the Access my profile button on the right-hand side of the page. On the Job Search tab, find the vacancy titled General profile then click the Apply button. On the Job Search tab, find the vacancy to which you would like to apply, then click the Apply button. COMPLETING YOUR PROFILE Under the My Jobpage tab, enter information in the following sections: Personal information Preferences Eligibility questions Job specific questions Work profile (Click Add/Update entry to add or modify records) Cover letter e-signature (for external candidates only)

5 SAVING YOUR PROFILE After you have completed a section of your profile, click one of the following options: ClickSave and continue to move to the next section. Click Save as Draft,then click Yes, to complete your profile at a later time. In the Work profile section, click Add/Update entryto save an entry. To return to the other sections of the profile, go to Review & save work profile. Check that the information is correct, then click Save & exit work profile. APPLYING FOR A VACANCY AT WHO QUICK GUIDE FOR CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR VACANCIES Search for vacancies On the search bar at the top of the page, enter a keyword or location or both. Click Search. Refine the search results by selecting the checkboxes at the left side of the page. The filters include location, job field and function, job type etc. Rearrange the order of the search results by selecting the options below the search bar. Save the search criteria and filters you entered by clicking Save this Search. Enter a title for the search settings and click Save this Search. Apply for a vacancy Click the job title to view the full details of the position. Click Apply Online to begin the application process. If you have not yet logged in, you will be asked to do so. Review that the information in your profile before you submit your application. EXPERIENCING ANY ISSUES? MANAGING PROFILE VERSIONS Your general profile serves as the master copy and always reflects the latest changes you ve made in any job-specific profile. You should start with completing your general profile before applying to a vacancy. Changes to a profile are job-specific. Updating your profile for one position does not change the version you submitted for other positions. You can update the job-specific profile you submitted as long as the position is still open.
