2 Call for Expression of Interest (EOI): South Asia Conference On Sanitation (SACOSAN) event planning and creative branding administered by WaterAid Pakistan. Background The Government of Pakistan is hosting 7th South Asia Conference on Sanitation (SACOSAN) in February 2018 in Islamabad. The SACOSAN is an important intergovernmental WASH advocacy and action forum in South Asia held every second year. The regional conference began in 2003 at the ministerial level to advance the regional progress towards the Millennium Development Goal related to sanitation. The overall objective of SACOSANs has been to develop a South Asian regional agenda on sanitation and come together every alternative year to track the progress. The SACOSANs contribute to sanitation and hygiene promotion in South Asia and serve as a hub to promote regional cooperation. SACOSAN process plays a key role in creating political will towards better sanitation in South Asia. So far, six conferences have been held. SACOSAN-I (Dhaka 2003) SACOSAN-II (Islamabad 2006) SACOSAN-III (New Delhi 2008) SACOSAN-IV (Colombo 2011) SACOSAN-V SACOSAN-VI (Dhaka 2016) The SACOSAC VI (Islamabad, 2018) will be a key event to reflect upon the regional preparation and challenges to deliver WASH within Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework. More than 400 delegates from the South Asia region will attend the event. Moreover, more than 600 delegates will attend from within the Pakistan. The event will involve participation of high level delegates, ministers, government officials and likely to be inaugurated by either Prime Minister or President of Pakistan. About the Task The creative agency will set up brand of SACOSAN VII by clearly articulating visual and verbal identity. The agency will map the venue and develop a 3d visual story board of the venue for each floor that demonstrate look and feel of the venue for international audience. Within the same creative umbrella the creative agency will upgrade the basic SACOSAN logo and design elements to a comprehensive branding and visibility guide and create designs for event main stage, side events, technical sessions, panels, backdrops, conference information desks, programme booklet, cut outs, souvenirs, promo video, social media posts, and cultural night. The

3 task involve developing creative designs only and the execution with be under the scope of event management team. Skills Required Include information on: 1. Creative abilities 2. Branding and visibility management abilities 3. Event planning abilities Creatives only Background & Experience Give an overview of experience working in the development sector, including: 1. Total number of projects (across all sectors) completed in the last five years 2. Total experience (in years) working in the development sector projects corresponding to the programme components and package of services outlined above 3. Names and brief description of the projects worked within the development sector. This should include the project name, summary of the key activities undertaken, project cost, project duration and name of the client/sponsoring agency 4. Three references (with complete contact details including address, telephone, fax and ) in respect of works undertaken in the past Organizational Structure and Capacity A description of why your firm is the best choice, in addition to: 1. List of all departments 2. List of all employees with their designation 3. A description of creative review and how does your firm ensure the best result

4 Additional Information Provide and additional information deemed relevant to this EoI (e.g existing implementing partnerships, existing assets, resource mobilization capacity etc. including any brochures, reports etc. Two hard copies of the EoI should be submitted by 16:000 Hours on or before 15 January EoIs will be subject to evaluation against the criteria outlined in Annex-1. Only short listed firms would be contacted for a further in depth assessment and submission of proposals, in line with WaterAid s procedures. Please note that this expression of interest does not entail any commitment on the part of WaterAid. WaterAid reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOI without assigning any reason. 5 Annex 1- Evaluation Methodology & Process The selection of a firm will be done in three phases which are as follows: Phase 1: Submission of company profiles along with organizational structure, capacity, previous work and textual concepts or pictorial samples for the said event planning. Phase 2: Submission of detailed proposals which will include time frame, creative drafts and overall event look, feel and experience. Phase 3: Submission of financial proposal based on revisions/discussions/additions to the proposal. The assessment of each phase will be done based on the following inputs: 1. Experience and capacity of the firm for this project 2. Creative input and its uniqueness 3. Competitiveness of the financial proposal 4. Delivery capacity
