Applications are invited for the following post: STUDENT RECRUITMENT EVENTS SUPPORT AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (PART TIME) Term time only (39 weeks) Salary circa 19.5k per annum pro rata The Student Recruitment and Outreach team is an integral part of the wider Marketing, Communications and Recruitment function. The postholder will provide efficient administrative support within the student recruitment and outreach team with particular reference to matters relating to student recruitment events on and off campus. Applicants should ideally have proven experience in the HE sector along with administrative experience, the ability to exercise initiative and excellent communication, organisational and IT skills (to include MS Office). The ability to work as part of a team is a critical aspect of the role, as is a professional and flexible approach to work and good organisational and time management skills. Hours of work will be hours per week over 4 days (Term time only 39 weeks). 5 LEEDS TRINITY UNIVERSITY JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: DEPARTMENT: Student Recruitment Events and Administrative Assistant (Part time, Term time only) Marketing, Communications and Recruitment GRADE: Grade 4 SALARY: HOURS OF WORK: RESPONSIBLE TO: PURPOSE OF POST: From 19,730 per annum (pro-rata) hours per week over 4 days by agreement with the Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager for 39 weeks per year. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across Marketing Communications and Recruitment department providing, but not limited to, logistical support for student recruitment events. Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager Provide cross team support with a particular focus on supporting on and off campus student recruitment events. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assisting with the preparation and delivery of internal and external student recruitment activities and post-application interview events and visit days. This could include delivering campus tours to prospective students. 2. Providing an efficient and courteous enquiry service to assist applicants, students, staff and external bodies, responding to queries in person, by telephone or by as appropriate. 3. Undertaking general administrative and clerical support across the department as required. 4. Assisting with skills test processing and preparing paperwork for interviews and assessments. 5. Dealing with applicant records on the University s student system (SITS) and interrogating the database to produce standard reports. 6. Complying with data in accordance with GDPR. 7. To comply with current health and safety requirements, work with relevant University policies including equal opportunities and participate fully in the professional development review scheme. 8. To apply the University s Equality and Diversity Policy in the postholder s own area of responsibility and in his/her general conduct. 9. To work as part of the Student Recruitment Team and to carry out any other duty commensurate with the grade of the post as may reasonably be directed by the Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager. SKILLS, ATTITUDES & ATTRIBUTES: Excellent organisational skills. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of undergraduate admissions cycle. Knowledge of UCAS processes.
