We needed 100 new staff and quickly. But they had to be the best. A financial services company had to set up a call centre quickly and efficiently. Working in partnership with SHL, they developed a unique selection process that could be put in place immediately. The result was a fullystaffed call centre, up and running in the shortest time possible. The selection process was so accurate that the new staff picked up the job very quickly. This resulted in considerable cost savings for the company. Needless to say, the HR department is extremely happy with the new process which is easy to adminster and apply. 3 AC Court, High Street, Thames Ditton, Surrey KT7 0SR.

This not only saved time but also impressed candidates in a highly competitive market. 3 AC Court, High Street, Thames Ditton, Surrey KT7 0SR.

A nationwide business needed to assess a large number of widespread applicants in a convenient and speedy way, consistently across the whole country. Working in partnership with SHL, tailored tests were designed which could be administered on PCs across a range of sites. Test scores could then be downloaded to central locations, recommendations made and feedback supplied to the line management for final decision making. The process provided massive increases in convenience and speed of turnround and generated a high level of commitment from regional managers. The system improved monitoring and updating of the selection process, thus maximising return. 5 A local authority required a sensitive and in-depth review of the current strengths and development needs of their employees. SHL worked with the client to introduce a process that used 360 tools and psychometric instruments in a way that gave each employee a clear focus on their competencies and development needs. Discussions were then able to take place with the benefit of comprehensive, reliable data regarding the employee s individual style, motivation and capabilities. 3 AC Court, High Street, Thames Ditton, Surrey KT7 0SR. Employees participated wholeheartedly in discussions on their performance and future development.

A large recruiter of clerical staff was looking to reduce the amount of time taken to screen thousands of diverse applicants, accurately and efficiently. SHL designed a structured application form that could be computer scored, rapidly sifting applicants down to a more manageable number based on relevant job criteria. The innovative process was far more time efficient and applicants could immediately see the relevance of measurement, allowing them to feel far more comfortable with the whole process. 3 AC Court, High Street, Thames Ditton, Surrey KT7 0SR. 7 By focusing on the demands of culture change, SHL helped us to match people to roles in advance of our reorganisation. This increased the commitment of our staff to new organisational objectives. When recruiting talented staff for a newly formed call centre, SHL helped us to develop a unique, accurate, convenient and easy to administer selection process. 8 We worked in conjunction with SHL and were able to benchmark and audit the strengths and development needs of our staff to match with our new commercial environment. SHL helped us to save money by reviewing test usage within our organisation and by recommending the most appropriate tests for each situation. This ensured that our selection procedures were fair and robust. By implementing computer based assessment, we were able to empower regional line managers to make consistent and objective recruitment decisions, quickly and efficiently.

Tailored, computer-scored application forms designed by SHL not only saved our organisation time, money and effort, but they were seen as more relevant and fair by the applicants.
