2 BASIC JOB PURPOSE The is responsible for ensuring the development and management of all fundraising activities for Able Australia including strategic planning, donor management, planned and annual giving, trusts and foundations, direct marketing, raffle programs, bequests and associated tasks. The role requires a proactive people engagement and leadership style to achieve high workplace performance and success, while positively impacting on the revenue and image of Able as an organisation. To promote the philosophy, policies and practices of the organisation and the contemporary community services field in general and to ensure that all activities are consistent with these. To encourage co-operation between employees in the organisation for better functioning of Able Australia as a whole. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Fundraising Strategy & Management Lead by example to: Foster quality relationships with senior management and across the organisation; Represent Able and present its fundraising strategies as a sector leading organisation; Participate and contribute to annual planning and management projects of Able. Review, design, deliver and develop: Strategies across all fundraising disciplines including raffles, regular giving, bequests and donations; Fundraising strategies to attract and secure donors in all age groups; The annual fundraising strategy across all disciplines; Strategies to attract partners and maintain current partners; Strategies to engage in workplace giving through new and existing corporate partners; New approach to increasing donor income, winning back lapsed donors and driving ongoing supporter relationships; Fit within team at Able. Development and implementation of the Strategic Plan. Outcomes against Strategic Plan goals. Assist with reporting to Board and Board subcommittees. Outcomes with current corporate partners. Establish new corporate partnerships. Driving increased regular giving and major donor programmes. Build and engage long-term donor relationships. Establish a bequest strategy. Understand and process map our current donors and their journey. May 2017 P a g e 2 6

3 Set strategy with the Submissions Coordinator to assess potential grant and trust applications and funding opportunities. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Lead continuous improvement in fundraising initiatives to: Build organisational capacity to facilitate fundraising and associated innovations; Develop systems and programs that increase ability of fundraising to evaluate, manage and plan effectively; Evaluate and analyse current fundraising activities to ensure revenue growth against overall target and continued relevance of targeted approaches. Communication & Collaboration Manage and promote fundraising communications and collaboration to: embed a fundraising program that maximises Able s ability to enhance its mission; ensure that fundraising activities are collaborative and fully integrated into other related work areas and strategies; share knowledge and innovation within the organisation around the attainment of fundraising goals. Leadership and Management lead, manage, motivate and empower the fundraising team to ensure that the team, including staff and volunteers, are professionally developed to produce outcomes; to encourage, support and value cooperation of all employees, volunteers and all supporters of the organisation for the better functioning of Able Australia Services as a whole; uphold the vision, mission and values of the organisation at all times and foster a respectful, supportive working Lead with the development of software system and reporting to improve data intelligence and fundraising returns Establish meaningful monthly reports to management assessing revenue targets, costs and trends Develop new revenue strategies to Able Australia and measure success Success of fundraising campaigns to meet unmet need or programs across Able Performance of fundraising team and integration with Able. Participates fully in quality and continuous improvement activities and initiatives across the organisation. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement as an integral part of core practice. Supports and participates in relevant internal and external certification and auditing programmes. Seeks opportunities for improvement within own work practices and makes appropriate suggestions for organisational improvements using the Continuous Improvement System. Other Duties Undertakes other duties commensurate with the position as reasonably directed Key Selection Criteria Extensive fundraising and marketing principals in practice, with strong knowledge of the NFP sector. Previous fundraising experience, ideally with a focus in Corporate Partnerships and/or Major Donor acquisitions three years minimum. Previously having managed research, data research and fundraising campaigns. Ability to manage data and research and use this to further develop strategy. Qualifications & Training: Degree qualification/post graduate in a business/arts discipline or extensive relevant experience May 2017 P a g e 5 6
