1 Job Description Job Title Department Base Location Hours of Working Salary Banding Accountable To Reports To Line Management Responsibility Assistant Finance Manager CAIS Business Services CAIS Head Office, Llandudno 37.5 hrs per week over 7 days 24,581 per annum Commercial Director Finance Manager Job Purpose: To assist the Finance Manager in monitoring and developing robust systems and processes within the department, preparing key financial information and reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Main Duties and Responsibilities: To provide financial support to the Business Development team, providing costings for bids/tenders To collate and review quarterly monitoring information for commissioners, preparing financial reports where necessary To prepare detailed monthly financial information for Senior Executive team, including debtors, management accounts, cash position etc To prepare regular financial reports for project managers To maximize the information produced by SAGE, developing enhanced reports where possible To provide support to the Finance team, dealing with day to day issues, to ensure deadlines are met To proactively seek improvements to systems and processes To monitor and further develop cash flow reporting and associated investments To oversee contract management duties (monitoring contract end dates, reporting etc) To ensure audit trails across the department are robust, monitored and reviewed on a regular basis to satisfy governance requirements

2 General: To attend CAIS staff meetings as directed To assist the Finance Manager with any additional tasks which may arise Professional: To participate in the CAIS continuous learning, development and appraisal process To maintain professional accreditation as appropriate to role To attend training provided, organised or arranged by CAIS To operate within and observe CAIS policies and procedures as amended and updated This Job Description provides a framework in which duties may be carried out, however it may be necessary to make alterations and adjustments from time to time to meet the needs of the service.

4 Person Specification for Assistant Finance Manager Qualifications: Essential Desirable Method of Assessment Part Qualified Accountant / AAT Certificate of or relevant qualification at completion Degree level Experience: Working within a busy finance department for over 5 years, with experience of the different roles Experience of leading and motivating a team Senior level experience in finance role, monitoring financial information and preparing stakeholder reports References Skills: Data collection and reporting skills: Keyboard and general IT skills: Sage Line 50 Microsoft EXCEL High level of writing skills Microsoft Power Point SAGE Payroll SAGE Report Writing Test Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to interpret financial information and report appropriately, depending on stakeholder requirements Welsh language desirable or demonstrate commitment to learn Knowledge: Personal Qualities: A working knowledge of the various finance functions, including: Payroll processes Management Accounts Credit Control A proactive, motivated and enthusiastic individual, willing and able to work on own initiative, effectively managing personal workloads whilst ensuring team deadlines are met Application Interview Organized approach to work
