Ardagh Group has perfected many decoration techniques that can add distinction to the customer s brand. Ardagh Group offers particular expertise in pre-distortion printing for shaped cans, as well as high quality print capabilities for standard metal formats. Ardagh Metal Packaging in Hjørring Ardagh has invested EUR 5m in the factory in Hjørring and is planning to invest more in order to develop easy peel lids (EPL) for food products. The strategy is to finish the project and to improve the speed and capacity to reach the expected growth in produced EPLs. The plant in Hjørring has a total of 61 employees, including 41 employees in the production working in 5 6 shifts daily, 7 days a week. In connection with the increased activity level and the raise of efficiency there is a need for implementation of HR processes and training of the employees. Therefore, it has been decided to establish a new position as HR Officer/Administrator at the plant in Hjørring. Page 3 of 7

4 Role description Title HR Officer/Administrator (HRO). Location and Travel Located at the plant in Hjørring, Denmark. Travel activities in connection with internal meetings approx. 15 days the first year - in connection with training and knowledge sharing. After the first year it will be approx. 6 days a year. Responsibilities and Tasks The HRO is responsible for the HR processes at the plant in Hjørring. The principal purpose of the role is to ensure that: Ardagh Group s HR and compliance processes are implemented and followed The operators get the training needed in order to have the right capabilities The right profiles of blue-collar employees are recruited. The main tasks of the HRO are: HR processes Registration of employee data according to company guidelines Reporting key HR data and KPI s to the Group including statistics on absence Securing the correct data for the payroll office Recruitment Getting approval for the recruitment following the Ardagh procedure and documentation Describing the job content and needed profile in cooperation with the relevant manager Coordination and cooperation with external recruitment partners Providing employee contracts and implementation of agreements On boarding Planning and coordinating introduction programs Preparing employee start according to company guidelines Communicating, securing understanding, of the Ardagh Groups Code of Conduct and other policies Development Planning and coordinating operator training in close cooperation with the production management, the quality function and HR, People Development, Netherlands Registration of training needs and training done for each operator Deployments Preparing employee stop Securing exit according to guidelines Page 4 of 7

5 Health, safety and environment (only as side activity, with minor time impact) Coordinating and facilitating the work council meeting (health, safety and environment), held every 2 months Reviewing status on absence and health together with the management team and taking initiatives when needed Coordinating the annual APV (workplace evaluation). The HRO will attend an introduction at Ardagh in the Netherlands with HR learning the fundamental HR guidelines and processes. Result demands Performance will be measured by: A well functioning basic HR function at the plant in Hjørring Alignment with corporate politics and legislative requirements Having the right capabilities in the workforce through training and recruitment Good relation and communication with all employees Being effective and structured in the way of working Contribution to the overall management of the plant with ideas for improvement Ability to cooperate with Technicians, Logistics, Quality and the Plant Manager. Reporting Lines The HRO reports to Jos Bessems, Country HR Manager Metal NL/DK and HR Business Partner Metal Food & Speciality Specialities Europe. The HRO will have a dotted reference to and close cooperation with Kenneth Gray, Plant Manager in Hjørring. Peer Group and Stakeholders The HRO will work closely with Jos Bessems and Daniëlle van Nieuwenhuijzen, HR SSC (Shared Service Centre) Manager Metal - Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark and Arjen van der Wal, Country People Development Manager Metal Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark. The HRO will be a part of the management team at the plant in Hjørring and cooperate with colleagues at the plant. Page 5 of 7

6 Recruitment Profile Minimum requirements: Education A basic HR knowledge within HR administration and employment law, but not on specialist level No specific education is required Languages Fluent in Danish and English, both spoken and written Professional Experience A minimum of 3 years experience with HR administration contracts and employee registration Experience from a steering role as coordinator or project manager International experience working with different cultures IT Experienced user of IT as a tool in the daily work Experience with SAP is an advantage, but not a demand Sector Experience Experience from a manufacturing company with blue-collar workers and union agreements.
