7 By Martiné Hofmeyr from Khulisane Academy (Sales & Marketing Manager) Registration of Occupational Qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework QCTO The following is now registered and Khulisane Academy is very excited about the news: Occupational Certificate: Training and Development Practitioner Level 5, 190 Credits, Qualification ID: The NEW Khulisane Student Bags News from our Western Cape Office in Somerset West As a growing company in the learning & development field, we also have the urge to serve our communities. In co-operation with The Job Club, Khulisane Academy got involved; and wanted to make a difference in the lives of people and the community. The Job Club is a platform that facilitates transformation. Marlene Burden (Managing Director) of Khulisane Academy is involved in the entrepreneurship facilitation process (part of the Wisdom in Action Group). Sir Lowry s Pass Village is a small, very poor community in the Western Cape that has been largely forgotten. The village is located in the heart of the affluent Helderberg region, surrounded by wine farms and world class guest houses. Rich in history, cultural heritage and highly regarded as part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, we believe that Sir Lowry s Pass Village and its inhabitants should be showcased for the world to experience. The establishment of a manufacturing and retail hub will be the starting point for further development in Sir Lowry s Pass Village. The hub addresses the most common need of work space and access to market, identified by the entrepreneurs that we have been working with extensively over the past 2 years. Support for this high-level initiative will mean that, together, we can breathe life into the collective dream of the villagers; creating a world-class, African tourist destination of choice. TOGETHER, WE COULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE THAT WILL CHANGE A COMMUNITY! Martie and Joan Owners: M & J SEWING Martie and Joan are two of these entrepreneurs from M & J Sewing. To show our support, we ordered our NEW Khulisane Student Bags from M & J Sewing. The bags are handmade and they are beautiful. Thank you Martie & Joan for your outstanding products!
