2 COMMUNICATIONS / BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION APPRENTICE JOB PROFILE This role is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to pursue a career in Communications and Marketing. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn all aspects of Communications while working towards a qualification. The position is based in our Alnwick office in Northumberland. The role will principally focus on the following: Key Responsibilities Assist the Business Support Team to deliver projects in line with the team/business goals Embrace the culture of the firm Deliver excellent service to both internal and external contacts You need to: Have good customer service skills Be well presented Work effectively as an individual and as part of a team Be enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious Be organised and able to work under pressure Have a confident personality with excellent communications skills Have good administration skills Be ICT competent Punctual and proactive approach Scope of role: Assist in the management of group websites Assist in content creation and delivery of content for group social media channels Provide support for marketing events and exhibitions as required Help to deliver internal communication projects Assisting in the briefing, creation and delivery of press releases Helping to create and deliver targeted marketing campaigns, and collating results data Participation and contribution in internal marketing/communications meetings To assist with data research, extraction and management To be involved in all aspects of advertising including collection of content, costing, booking, design and placement of adverts across a range of media To provide assistance in processing invoices and financial information relating to projects Assist in the preparation and release of direct mail campaigns Keeping systems up to date including in-house, off site and online storage areas Collate and provide data for reporting and marketing projects Provide administrative support to the wider Business Support Team including HR, Finance and IT in a variety of projects Please note that the above is not exhaustive and subject to change to reflect the needs of the business.

3 This is a full time temporary apprenticeship position for 18 months. There is a requirement for the successful candidate to pass a formal qualification. Hours of work: 9.00am pm Monday to Friday plus additional hours during key events by prior agreement. Ability to spot opportunities and take action Good communicator Excellent communication skills within team and ability to communicate workload and status of projects Have good knowledge of English grammar Effective communication with internal clients and others in a clear and practical manner Have a pleasant and confident telephone manner Discretion Must be discreet given the role involves handling sometimes sensitive information ICT competent Travel Competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel Ability to update wordpress websites and use of dotmailer system Competency in design software Indesign is desirable Ability to adapt to new software and systems Must have a full driving licence and be willing to travel on behalf of the firm
