1 Position Description Position Information Position: Location: Product Manager (Innovation) Head Office, Taupo Job Purpose This position is responsible for the management of product development and innovation projects. This involves the coordination and management of activities from concept development, contract manufacturing, and consumer testing through to commercialization. Miraka operates an open innovation model, therefore partner, supplier and process managements are key accountabilities for the role. Pipeline management, market research, data analysis and financial modelling are important functions within the role. External: Customers, Crown Research Institutes, consultants, ingredient suppliers, service providers and contract manufactures, design agencies.

3 Key Result Area Duties and Responsibilities Expected Outcomes Portfolio Relationship Financial analysis Research & analysis Environment Health, Safety & Risk and Compliance Manage projects through to completion. Actively manage service providers. Develop and maintain good project management discipline. Monitor and ensure timelines and milestones are achieved. Identify potential issues and develop strategies for moving forward. Ensure accurate and timely reporting Develop and maintain key relationships with customers, service providers, internal stakeholders and partners. Identify opportunities for improvement Maintain accurate financial models for each project. Ongoing value chain analysis within target channels. Ensure accurate and timely reporting. Conduct on going market insights in the areas of interest Manage information sources and maintain an insight network globally. Regular reporting of insights to guide strategy Participate and support the health, safety and risk management plans to ensure OSH compliance and minimise the Company s exposure in all ways. Provides and maintains a healthy and safe work environment on site. The innovation objectives are achieved in the agreed time frames. All product attributes achieve/exceed commercial targets Strong and positive relationships which deliver results on time and to expectations. Timely and accurate information to support decision making. Improved decision making within projects Effective pipeline management Identification of new opportunities OSH and environmental management plans are implemented and managed. Person Specification Qualifications and Technical Skills Experience and knowledge required for effective performance in the position A tertiary qualification in a science discipline or food technology Project management & analytical skills Strong excel skills Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing. Product development Project management Data analysis Effective communication. Attention to detail, good time keeping and self-motivation.
