4 Task 1: Describe techniques for moving equipment and people You will be asked how to move equipment that you use in your work and how you reduce the risk of (DPI) when moving equipment. You will also be asked to describe techniques to support a person to move. You need to show how these techniques keep the person comfortable, maintain the person s dignity and reduce the risk of. To answer these questions, you need to know about the factors that contribute to discomfort, pain and injury outlined in the DPI framework Moving and handling people: The New Zealand Guidelines Describe techniques for moving equipment. Choose four pieces of equipment from the list below. Fill in the table to describe a different technique for moving each piece of equipment and how the technique reduces the risk of.
