3 Trainee information Before you start The assessor/observer will talk about what you need to do. You may have been observed doing some of these tasks already, or there may be workplace documents you have completed, such as a workplace incident report, which documents what you have done at work. You may bring evidence of what you have done already, such as your induction training log, or proof of competency from a course you have completed, eg a marked assessment or project. This may be recorded as evidence. As you go For knowledge assessment questions you can choose to write your answers or your assessor may record your verbal answers for you. Your assessor or observer will complete the observation form in this assessment when they observe your work. Sometimes they may ask you to do a specific task or ask a question about what you are doing. If you need help with this assessment, please contact your assessor. 7 3 Describe how to deal with unwelcome or offensive behaviour. Give two examples of unwelcome or offensive behaviour that you might experience in your role. Describe how you would deal with this. 10 Task 2: Keeping the environment safe and secure 1 Identify potential hazards and use equipment. Show your observer or assessor around your workplace and answer their questions about three potential hazards and how you use three pieces of equipment. Your assessor or observer will fill in the forms below as you complete this task. Observation The trainee must do the following tasks. 12 3 Describe how you would respond to emergencies. Select four emergency situations from the list below and describe how you would respond to them. Here is a list of possible emergencies: a fire breaks out. a gas leak is discovered. there is a flood. there is a storm (heavy rain, very strong winds, possibly lightning). a chemical spill occurs. a building or part of a building collapses or looks as if it might collapse. the person you are supporting has a health emergency or a serious accident.
