1 SFC-CSR Activity 2010 Environment 1. Activity Name: Green Mission Trash Separation at Floating Market SFC and Radio FM 107 MHz held the environmental activity at Amphawa Floating Market, Samut Songkhram Province on September 12 th, to promote the trash separation and clean the canal. Concept: Amphawa Floating Market is a famous tourist destination with 1 million visitors per year. The trash was increased from 3.5 to 10 tons per day. All of them were mixed. Unfortunately, 1 ton was put down into the canal. Actions: We set and promote the trash bin with 3 colors; red for toxic trash, green for wet trash and yellow for recycle. The most important act is to give knowledge to shop owners and visitors how to separate the trash. Then, we use the boat to pick up the trash from the canal. Result: The environmental awareness had been planted into the heart of shop owners and visitors.

2 SFC had been promoted to the public by Medias as one of the environmental concerned company. FB Battery was acknowledged and accepted as a Green brand to help environment. Environment 2. Activity Name: SFC-Environmental Good Governance Project 2010 SFC is one of the 226 factories from all over Thailand who got the award 2010 from Minister of Industry because SFC has implemented the Environmental Good Governance Project successfully. Concept: The project was set by Thai Government to encourage the industry to have a good governance and CSR for sustainable development. The factories, villagers, social and environment can live together peacefully and exist from now until the future. Actions: We set actions followings the 7 principles that are projectevaluation criteria. 1. Open the environmental information to villagers and public. 2. Work with local people around the factory to save environment. 3. Monitor and show the environmental indicators such as water, air, noise and chemicals to the stakeholders. 4. Set the channel to receive environmental complaint. 5. Follow the environmental laws and regulations. 6. Share the value to social by CSR activities. 7. Continuous improvement for environment.

3 For example, SFC invited the villagers around the company to visit the factory, get the environmental information and exchange their ideas. We had also set the environmental exhibition at the subdistrict center. Finally, the villagers and government officers evaluated SFC as the criteria. Result: SFC can pass the evaluation and got the award from the Minister of Industry. The villagers around the factory have a good understanding with SFC. We can live together happily. CSR with Our Employees 3. Activity Name: SFC received award for good employee relationship and welfare 5 years continually. SFC got award from Thai Prime Minister, Mr.Abhisit Vejjajiwa, on August 27 th,2010 as an excellent organization having good employee relationship and welfare. SFC is one of 51 medium size-factories from all over Thailand who receive the 5 years -award continually. There are 91 medium size-factories who receive 1 year award in Concept: The award criteria were set by Thailand Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour to promote both the good relationship between management and employee and good

4 employee-welfare. There are 3 categories of award for large, medium and small factory. Actions: SFC has a clear policy for human resource management. The employee welfare committee is elected by the employees to be the representatives who work with management to promote and improve the working atmosphere, good relation and good welfare. Many activities had been set and implemented. The officers from Department of Labour Protection and Welfare had visited and evaluated SFC with satisfaction. Result: SFC can pass the evaluation and got the award from the Prime Minister. SFC has the good relation between management and employees. SFC has no labour-union. Employees have a good welfare. CSR with Our Employees 4. Activity Name: White Factory Project SFC won the award by department of labor and welfare for the White Factory Project 2010.We got the sustainable level that is the highest level of this award.

5 Concept: The objectives of the project are to prevent the drugs and illegal acts inside the factory. Actions: We implement the project followings the 9 evaluation criteria. 1. Monitor and control our employees to prevent the drugs and illegal acts. 2. Recruit the employees who are not concerned with the drug. 3. Train employees to prevent the drug. Set the personal record. 4. Work with the government officers. 5. Set the warning sign for the drug then announce to employees. 6. Set the team to response, monitor and control to prevent the problem. 7. Set and achieve the target Zero Drug Concerning 8. Implement the audit system for this issue. 9. Take care our employees continuously. Result: SFC can pass the evaluation and can be one of the White factories. We got the award from Thai government.
