6 5 Visit Report PURPOSE OF VISIT Industrial visits are important for the following reasons: 1. To gain a practical knowledge of the actual working of the organization. 2. To get the practical knowledge of the project development process. 3. To adopt criteria about the management. 4. To study co-ordination between different departments. 5. How to control various circumstances. In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives we had organized an industrial visit at TOPS Technology, Ahmedabad for 3 rd Sem. Computer/I.T. Students. Significance of the Industrial Tour The basic objective of having industrial tour is for studying various aspects related with different industrial units. The different techniques and methods being used in industries are studied in order to gain wide outlook concerning industrial activities for that purpose.

7 6 Visit Report What we Learnt? On 13 th August, 2016 (Saturday) at 10:30 A.M. we reached at TOPS Technology, Shivranjani (Ahmedabad) Branch which is main development center of TOPS. We have divided our whole visit schedule into mainly two session. Session -1 Development Center 1. We were introduced to H.R. (Human Resource) Department. 2. Interview techniques, Various Rounds of Interviews. 3. Personality development. 4. How to get Projects from Market? 5. How company works. 6. Visit of development Center, Interaction with Developers of Company 7. Placement Management.

11 10 Visit Report Personal Experience of Students The industrial tour was the interface between the college life and the corporate world. All those who attended experienced the moment. It was clear that all the basic and fundamental of each subjects and programming language should be learnt thoroughly. Our students learnt how SDLC works, what are the current Scenario of Market, which programming language should be selected for career. They told us what the needs of the software development companies are, what they are expecting from us as the freshers. They guided us how to prepare for the corporate world after completing education. Conclusion The experience of this tour was really fantastic and unforgettable. It was reverberating experience which cherished all of us. Students got valuable information from this industrial tour and they guided us how to stand in the corporate world in the era of competition. We got to learn a lot many more things from this tour.
