Strategic Support to the COO Activities (Linked to each of the KPAs) No. Activity Description 1.1 Coordinate and provide support in the preparation of the operations plan for the SAHRC Co-ordination supporting the COO in the conduct of monthly, quarterly and annual Operations Meetings with Senior Managers 1.3 Provide support to the COO in developing and/ or reviewing the operations manual for the SAHRC 1.4 Provide support to the COO in preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports for the Division 1.5 Operational Planning managing and coordinating all Operational Planning Sessions bi-annually 2. Provide support in managing the operations of the Legal Services, Research, PAIA and Advocacy and Communications programmes. 2.1 Provide support in the preparation of the programme plan (serves as input into the divisional operational plan) 2.2 Provide quality management support (the review of relevant substantive outputs produced by the programme). 2.3 Operational Reporting monitoring and tracking all monthly, quarterly and annual operational reports from the heads of programmes 2.4 Programme compliance monitoring and tracking programme compliance with legislative and process checklists and directives 2.5 Provide support and tracking in ensuring effective service delivery to Operations from Corporate Services, office of the CFO; Strategic Support and Governance and Head of Commissioners Programme. 4

Provide support in initiating, co-ordinating, leading and/or implementing the Operations Improvement Programme 3.1 Provide support in the identification of areas of improvement in consultation with provinces and business unit heads. 3.2 Develop, manage and track project plans and co-ordinate project teams for improvement projects. 3.3 Provide support and proposals to resolve systemic and ongoing challenges in the Operations area. 3.4 Ensure implementation of change initiatives to improve the functioning of the Operations area. 4. Provide support in managing the operations of the provincial offices. 4.1 Provide support in the preparation of the regional plans (serves as input into the divisional operational plan) 4.2 Provide quality management support (the review of relevant substantive outputs produced by the regions) 4.3 Operational Reporting monitoring and tracking all monthly, quarterly and annual operational reports from the respective provincial managers 4.4 Regional compliance monitoring and tracking compliance with legislative and process checklists and directives 4.5 Provide support and tracking in ensuring effective service delivery to Operations from Corporate Services, office of the CFO; Strategic Support and Governance and Head of Commissioners Programme.
