Registration periods: The BSc in HRM comprises three levels of study, BSc 1 Certificate (HE), BSc 2 Diploma (HE) and BSC 3 Honours. Typical entry requirements: Entry at BSc 1 - Certificate (HE) in HRM: Candidates will be expected to be qualified to A-Level standard or equivalent. However, it is anticipated that typical applicants will be mature working adults with a wide range of skills and knowledge. Therefore, suitable alternative qualifications and significant work experience will be considered. In cases where English is not the first language, applicants will be expected to have IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. Entry at Diploma (HE) in HRM: The requirement for admissions to the Diploma (HE) programme is successful completion of the CLMS Certificate (HE). We also encourage application for direct entry from individuals with equivalent relevant academic qualifications and substantial relevant workplace experience (for example, in an HR or training role).

2 Entry at BSc in HRM Honours : The requirements for admission to the BSc Honours are the successful completion of the CLMS Diploma (HE), or an equivalent University of Leicester qualification such as a foundation degree, together with substantial work experience in a relevant field. Other qualifications may be considered if these are a) equivalent in level and content to the CLMS Diploma, b) obtained from a reputable academic institution and c) obtained no more than five years before the date of application. 6. Progression points: In order to progress automatically between the stages of the BSc a student must achieve an average of 45% in each year of study. In cases where a student has failed to meet a requirement to progress he or she will be required to withdraw from the course

4 11. Special features: This course is specifically designed for working adults. In order to meet their needs, the course has been designed to have the following features. (a) It is taught entirely by distance learning; (b) It has multiple entries and exits - e.g. building on the certificate and diploma, plus a top-up component, making it very flexible for working adult learners. 12. Indications of programme quality The course is built on existing certificates and diplomas, which have consistently received praise from external examiners as well as good support from employers who have sponsored their employees in the last 13 years. Appendix 1: Programme structure (programme regulations) The BSc comprises three levels of study, BSc 1 Certificate, BSc 2 Diploma and BSC 3 Honours. Qualifications Awarded: Candidates who have successfully completed 120 credits and met all of the assessment requirements for each module and do not wish to progress to the BSc 2 programme, will be awarded a Certificate (HE) in Human Resource Management. Students who achieve an overall (average) result of 45.00% or above in the Certificate (HE) will be eligible to proceed directly on to BSc 2 Diploma (HE) programme. Qualifications Awarded: Candidates who have successfully completed 120 credits and met all of the assessment requirements for each module and do not wish to progress to the BSc 3 programme, will be awarded a Diploma (HE) in Human Resource Management. Students who achieve an overall (average) result of 45.00% or above in the Diploma (HE) will be eligible to proceed directly on to BSc 3 BSC Honours programme.

Qualifications Awarded (i) (ii) Successful completion of the level 3, B.Sc. one year full-time equivalent programme will lead to the award of a BSc in Human Resource Management.
