1 How Do I Manage My Business Time? We are going to walk you through some important basics of time management to help you in your business. Determine the priority level that you will place on your business. When defining your priorities, you might make a general list and then a very specific list. For example, my own list of life priorities is God, Marriage, Children & Family, then Business. Then, I break down specific activities for each priority. Whatever is going on, map it out, list it out and be very specific. Establish clear boundaries from the beginning, but maintain a healthy degree of flexibility. Discuss that priority level with the important people in your life who will be impacted by the time you put in your business. If you are a building a Significant Referral Business (Level 3), you should prepare your spouse and children for a "season of imbalance." If you have small children, realize that small 15-minute increments all throughout the day in broken time can make a HUGE impact on your business. Calendaring Basics. Have a system that you stick to and that works for you. Here are some things that I do in my calendar: Always write everything in your own time zone...even if it takes you longer...just take your time and get it right. I first note the type of call PRESO - Name, Phone number, TRAINING Line 2, PRESO Assist Jane with Suzie, Try PRESO - Name, Phone Number. Use highlighters for different call types. Block off family time in advance. Optimize the number of presentations that you are on in order to move your business forward more efficiently. Keep in mind that there is a learning curve in the beginning but give yourself 3-6 weeks working consistently and you will be amazed what you can multi-task. I like to keep my accountability at the top of each page...right there in front of me I can clearly see my number of dials, number of appts set, number of presentations attended, number of enrollments, number of no show's

2 NOTE: Upgraded team members using Home Office Pro will have the benefit of having their business appointments automatically entered into their personal calendar online in the EveVenture Members Center. Three basic principles for successful time management are: Have a mind for PROGRESS, not perfection. Keep your word. Plan each day. Just 30 minutes planning your week on Sat or Sun and then 10 minutes each night looking over the plans for the next day are HUGE. How should my business time be spent? Your business time should be focused on the 7 Critical Business-Building Activities (especially the first four which we call the Income Producing Activities. These consist of: 1 - Building Your Contact List 2 - Setting Appointments 3 - Making Presentations 4 - Doing 48-Hour Follow-ups 5 - Celebrating Success 6 - Always Participating in Fast Track 7 - Leading by Example. Your key to success in this business is consistently doing these critical activities.
