2 Scenario for reception of new employees in AGRO Yes that is what the new employee thinks when the new agreement on a visit or the employment contract concerning a job is in the bag. For us the trick is to maintain this feeling both before the new employee arrives and after. The Onboarding process helps to build a good relationship between the new colleague and the other colleagues in the department. Main elements in Onboarding are: Make the new colleague feel welcome and given a good reception Help him/her to settle into the department, the section and the job Give the new colleague an understanding of the part which (s)he is to play in the future of the department Inform the new colleague about the culture of the institution Increase his/her feeling of having made the right choice Increase his/her job satisfaction and with that his/her productivity Make the new colleague familiar with his/her importance in relation to the strategy, mission, vision and values of the department This scenario should be seen as a memo and as inspiration for making the next new colleagues first period on the job a particularly good experience.

4 Day 1 Reception Receive employee Coffee break together with colleagues in the section/unit (with brief introductory round) Tour/Physical environment Which parts of and employees in the department/section is it relevant that the new employee should meet? (post, kitchen facilities, coffee/tea, canteen, toilets, parking, changing rooms, laboratories, etc.) Social introduction Introduction to buddy, closest team/colleagues Introduction to bread scheme, coffee breaks, lunch breaks and fruit scheme Specialist introduction Meeting with project regarding tasks, expectations, etc. This should be very brief, but a concrete specialist task is a good idea. The new employee must also prepare a brief introduction of himself/herself. Formal introductory meeting with section Introduction to Danish authorities Office and working place Borgerservice (citizen service), SKAT (Danish taxation authorities), bank, general practitioner, dentist, hospital, etc. At Foulum introduction to Foulum Helpdesk. Assistance in accessing the systems: Outlook/network drives/intranet / Employee identity card, take photo to be put up in the coffee corner (Foulum) and next to the canteen (Flakkebjerg). Send containing introduction to the members of the section.
