18 Communication Traditional CIO CIO: We need to increase network bandwidth, introduce QoS and look into WAN acceleration to reduce latency and improve application response times for end users. CEO: Blah blah money, blah blah cost, blah blah making my head hurt! Transformational CIO CIO: We need to make sure our staff spend less time working and waiting on our computer systems, and more time actually dealing with customers, in line with our business strategy. CEO: I will get value from something I can understand and that I m driving.
