2 CQI & IRCA Certified ISO 45001:2018 AUDITOR MIGRATION OHSMS TRAINING COURSE (Module 2) OVERVIEW This course meets the Chartered Quality Institute & International Register of Certificated Auditors Criteria, PT251 Course Specification : OHSMS ISO 45001:2018 (Modular) Auditor Migration This course provides the knowledge of the changes to the revised OHSMS standard and the skills to audit against the revised standard. It is recommended for professionals working in organisations certified to OHSAS 18001:2007 that has been revised or those looking to work with a newly revised standard. Be able to audit ISO 45001:2018-based OHSMS requirements effectively WHO SHOULD ATTEND All CQI & IRCA Certified OHSMS Auditors must successfully complete a CQI & IRCA Certified ISO 45001:2018 Auditor Migration OHSMS Training course by end of Q1 year 2021, in order to retain their CQI & IRCA OHSMS registration. Individuals who have previously completed CQI & IRCA Certified OHSMS Training and have chosen not to register with IRCA. This training will offer valuable skills for any auditors who wish to keep their audit skills and knowledge upto-date. Recommended Prior Knowledge: An in-depth knowledge of OHSAS 18001:2007. 3 COURSE CONTENT M O D U LE 2 - LEARNING OBJECTIVES RELATING TO REVISED OHSMS REQUIREMENTS This module should be delivered over a minimum of a day, where a day consists of eight hours, including breaks. K N O W LEDGE To communicate any changes in OHSMS-specific requirements arising as a result of migrating from OHSAS 18801:2007 to ISO 45001:2018 S K ILLS (PR A C T ISED T H R O U G H T A S K S A N D IN R E A L O R S IM U LATED A U D IT S ITUATIO N S ) Auditing occupational health and safety management system requirement External and internal issues, and the relevant interested parties and their relevant needs and expectations. Documented scope of the OHSMS has been determined in consideration of above and the organization s planned or performed work-related activities. Top management has taken overall responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health, as well as the provision of safe and healthy workplaces and activities. Organisation s processes for the consultation and participation of managerial and non-managerial workers. Organisation has planned its OHSMS after consideration of its context, requirements and scope, and has determined the risks and opportunities that it need to address in order for the OHSMS to achieve its intended outcomes, to prevent or reduce undesired effects, and to realize continual improvement. Organisation has established, implemented and is maintaining process(es) for: - the proactive identification of hazards - assessment of OH&S risks and opportunities - determination of legal and other requirements - responding to potential emergency situations and that the organization has planned actions to address these. Planning has identified what will be done, when it will be done, who will do it, the resources required to achieve it, how the results will be evaluated and how the actions will be integrated into the organization s business processes. Organization is making workers aware of any incidents and outcomes of investigations that are relevant to them, and any hazards. Appropriate OH&S internal and external communication processes that take into account diversity aspects and the views of external interested parties. Processes for the elimination of hazards, reducing OH&S risk and the management of changes to the OHSMS. Processes and controls for external provision, including the procurement of products and services, the management of contractors and outsourcing. Processes for evaluating OH&S performance and for evaluating compliance with legal and other requirements. Management review considers: - Changes to the context of the organisation - Trends in incidents, nonconformities, corrective actions, continual improvement, monitoring and measurement results, results of evaluation of compliance with legal requirements and other requirements, audit results, consultation and participation of workers and risks and opportunities. Workers and other relevant interested parties participate in the evaluation of corrective actions to eliminate the root cause of incidents and nonconformity.
