4 Where are we today? Millennials will soon become the largest proportion of senior executive workforce. Social enterprises, Startups and B Corps are becoming increasingly common. Social and environmental causes, goals and objectives are now key considerations for employees, customers and investors. Investing in community causes, sustainability and wellbeing drives improved performance and culture.

22 Results The program has been awesome so far and really livened things up at Oscar Hunt. Staff Member, Oscar Hunt The program has planted the seeds of change within the workplace, both with mental health and social responsibility... Our mindfulness sessions helped staff maintain calmness during one of the most stressful times of the year as well as maintained respectful attitudes. 26 The Ocean Cleanup Aged 16 - School Project Aged 18 The Ocean Cleanup Slat came across more plastic than fish while diving in Greece. He decided to devote a high school project to deeper investigation into ocean plastic pollution Slat founded the non-profit entity the Ocean Cleanup and raised $2.2m in crowd funding from 38,000 donors in 160 countries Aged 17 - TEDx Aged 19 - Verified Presented at TEDx Delft on his idea of ridding the oceans of plastic. The Ocean Cleanup published a 528 page feasibility study about the project's potential, which was peer reviewed and publically supported.

27 Today Raised $31.6m 2011, Slat was selected for the Thiel fellowship. 2014, Slat was awarded the Champions of the Earth award of the United Nations Environment Programme 2016 Forbes included Slat in their 2016 "30 under 30" list. Boyan Slat estimates that half of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch will be gone within 5 years, at minimal costs.
