1 Cambodian Children s Trust (CCT) is a child protection organisation that works to keep children safe in families, preventing them from being trafficked, subjected to child labour and from ending up in orphanages. We collaborate locally and internationally with government, other organisations, and the Cambodian people to address the root causes of intergenerational poverty and build healthy, strong and resilient communities, in which children and families can thrive Position: Location: Remuneration: Director of Services (Cambodian candidates only) Battambang, Cambodia A competitive salary will be provided to the successful candidate The Director of Services is a senior manager and leader of the Cambodian Children s Trust. He/she is responsible for overseeing the implementation and delivery of CCT s Holistic Family- Based Care Model and managing all operational activities of the organisation to ensure CCT achieves its objectives, which include: Family Preservation Reintegration from Residential Care Institutes (RCI) Family Based Alternative Care Transformation of RCIs Advocacy You will be responsible for overseeing the educational activities of CCT, which includes curriculum and content development, teacher training and pedagogy, and facility improvements in public schools. You will also oversee the activities of our social enterprise restaurant in conjunction with our operating partners. A primary responsibility of this position is to liaise with government and non-government stakeholders, to build partnerships, represent CCT s work and collaborate with other service providers in Cambodia and internationally. This role has been designed to further develop the organisation s effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism.

2 Key deliverables will include: Planning Contributing to strategic planning, organisational development, management work plans and policy Supporting project teams to develop well designed operational plans and implement their activities in collaboration and according to CCT s Strategic Plan Ensure relevant policies, procedures and guidelines are in place. Implementing clear project plans, ensuring activities are effective, deadlines are met, resources are utilised efficiently, objectives achieved and that there is clear communication and co-ordination within project teams and across the organisation Implement best practice policies, procedures and guidance, ensuring program activities meet relevant legislative requirements and standards and support effective program management In conjunction with project teams, develop innovative new models for delivering services with a focus on sustainability Project Management Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all of CCT s programs as well as current industry best practice, and ensuring that knowledge is shared throughout the organisation Engage and support CCT s project managers in ensuring CCT s programs are operating in line with CCT s vision, mission and values and are meeting strategic objectives Conduct regular meetings with project managers and project staff to ensure project plans are implemented, projects are on track, within budget and are achieving deliverables Identifying needs, gaps in current service offerings and resources, and potential risks, and develop contingency plans Capacity Building, Mentoring and Leadership Providing hands on leadership to build and develop teams and individuals to meet emerging and existing organisational needs Identifying new roles required to meet existing or emerging operational needs Leading and coaching Project Managers.

3 Provide support to Project Managers and Social Workers so that complex issues/cases are managed effectively and in line with CCT s mission, vision and values Succession planning, recruitment and retention of key staff members Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Other Implementing robust monitoring and evaluating frameworks to ensure desired outcomes of operational plans are achieved. Developing and implementing evaluation tools and processes to gauge CCT s individual programs progress against their objectives Ensuring teams are collecting quality data and that all reporting systems are on time for internal and external reporting to donors. Identifying improvements in the physical, technical, staffing and management infrastructure and recommend appropriate solutions and actions to the other CCT Directors Preparing reports on impact and acquittal of funds as required by donors and partners Monitoring, measuring and reporting on operational and internal risks within CCT, and managing these risks Assist in the development of annual operational budgets, project specific budgets and project proposals In coordination with CCT s finance team identify & implement cost efficiencies and ensure consistency of approach across the organisation Ensure budgets are being adhered to across all programs and projects Ensure child protection policies are in place and are being adhered to Develop and maintain relationships with key partners including other NGOs, local authorities and other service providers Represent CCT in meetings and projects as required Assist in sourcing and securing funding grants Important to the success of this role is your ability to work as part of a team, and to maintain strong, empowering working relationships with all CCT staff.

4 You will have a relevant degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant area, and you will have extensive applicable experience in a Senior Management position in a Cambodian NGO. You will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of, and experience in, child protection and/or the community development sector. Other requirements for success in this position are: Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, and monitoring and evaluation Experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring individuals at a middle management level Project management experience, and the ability to train or guide others in this area Strong presentation and speaking skills with the ability to represent the Organisation to the Cambodian government, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders. Proven experience in designing, planning, implementing and evaluating new programs and activities Demonstrated co-ordination, prioritisation and problem solving capabilities, with the ability to anticipate challenges/issues and competently manage in a timely manner Strong skills in budget development and financial management High level time management, delegation and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate the workflow of program and administrative staff in order to achieve maximum efficiency and professionalism across the organisation Strong written and spoken language skills in English and Khmer; able to produce clear, relevant and timely reports for donors, partners, and other key stakeholders. Proven ability to influence and inspire individuals and teams Excellent interpersonal skills This is a senior management position therefore it will be expected that you will prioritise and manage your own workload and that of your team. This is a challenging position that won t suit everyone. You will need to be flexible, collaborative, able to deal with stressful situations, and have a good sense of humour. You also

5 need to have a true commitment and understanding of what it takes to mentor and empower other people. Experience working within NGO s in international settings would be very useful but is not essential.
