We re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Office Manager to be an integral part of the studio s senior management team. This is a great opportunity to join a global architectural and urbanism practice based in the heart of Manchester with ambitious growth plans for the future both in the UK and overseas. We design cities, buildings and places with a strong sense of identity and place. We have a great team of talented designers who would value the support of an Office Manager with the studio s day to day operational, financial and administrative requirements. 3 Creating a positive client experience Every day we push the boundaries to create value for our clients and form long standing relationships built on integrity and trust. We believe this role is important in creating positive experience for our clients and contacts, so will be responsible for: Welcoming guests to the studio Managing and providing hospitality experience for studio guests Answering incoming telephone calls Keeping the public areas of the studio presentable Taking bookings for conference rooms and arranging meetings Organising beverages and catering for meetings #We are collaborative colleagues

4 Contributing to an effective and efficient studio A key objective for our Office Manager is to optimise our operational performance as a studio by ensuring all our financial, administrative and compliance processes are managed effectively. We need someone who is financially astute and prides themselves on their attention to detail who has previous experience of: Assisting with the studio budget, purchase orders and debt management Managing financial data on digital systems Assisting with contract preparation including liaising with in house legal team Assisting in the management of studio audits such as ISO9001 and Undertaking document control responsibilities Uploading and downloading project information from third party websites and maintaining drawing registers Maintaining adequate supplies, stationery and functioning IT equipment Conducting risk assessments, health and safety, fire marshalling and first aid Resolving building problems and insurance claims Liaising with building manager and studio facilities Undertaking studio fire marshal duties Booking travel and accommodation #We are creative thinkers

Our Manchester studio works across a number of sectors including residential, education and urban design with clients both in the UK and overseas. As a team, we are constantly balancing our commitments to our clients whilst seeking out new opportunities that will help us achieve our growth targets. This role will be critical in helping the team raise their profile and win new business through assisting them with the following business development activities: Co-ordinating events and business related social activity Liaising and organising meetings with existing and prospective client contacts Working with our Group Marketing team on communication materials and events Assisting with the preparation of bid submission documents Managing the bid tracker and alerting the senior team to key deadlines Updating clients and contacts database Identifying regional/local networking events #We are responsible placemakers

7 Essential Skills Excellent computer literacy skills in Word, Excel and Outlook with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite desirable, but not essential. Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure Good health and safety, first aid and fire drill knowledge Confidence to influence others and motivate a team Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads A problem-solving approach to work Project management skills Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills #We are insightful innovators
