HEAD OF INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY Reporting to General Manager, the candidate has the responsibility for programming executive decisions into departmental goals by ensuring cost effective, progressive and optimal usage of information and communications technology services and solutions to enable the Airline to achieve operational excellence Responsibilities Translates Departmental operational and financial performance measurements for all strategic projects and activities to Departmental level and monitors them to ensure that the Divisional strategic objectives are met. Enhances customer experience and promotes the reputation of the corporation by ensuring that the ICT team meets their performance standards and targets in order to meet the airline s internal customers expectations Keeps abreast with latest developments in ICT and recommends initiatives that lead to process improvement by applying acquired knowledge, skills and best practice. Develops the ICT strategy to provide direction, facilitate planning and foster an integrated approach to ICT development within the organization that is aligned to the strategic intent of the Airline Ensures the effective functioning of ICT systems (internal, external, infrastructure and applications) alongside and via management of outsourced ICT support and applications partners Liaises with ISP infrastructure network service providers to develop cost effective and efficient technology solutions to network Air Botswana offices throughout the country. Degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science or related IT discipline. Post Graduate or Masters in Business related field will be an added advantage

2 Minimum Experience required Ten (10) years post graduate experience of which three (3) should have been at a managerial level in a similar sized organization. Proven record in leading project implementation of efficient and progressive ICT systems and programs. Airline or Aviation background is an added advantage.

3 2. INTERNAL AUDIT AND RISK MANAGER Reporting to the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee of the Board, the Internal Audit and Risk Manager ensures that the Corporation has robust corporate governance controls in place to mitigate against none compliance by developing the necessary Audit and Risk Management policies and frameworks as well as providing an independent, cost effective and efficient internal audit and risk management services to the Corporation in a manner that will fulfill the purpose, responsibilities and accomplish the corporate objectives as approved by the Board. RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and directs comprehensive program of audit assignment covering internal controls, risk management processes, regulatory compliance, administration and financial systems, human resources, I. other related business of the corporation, reliability of financial and management accounts and investigation of sensitive fraud related issues. Maintains a continuous and effective working relationship with Board Audit Committee, General Manager and Senior Management to deal with current and pertinent issues relating to improvement of internal controls, governance and risk management processes within the Corporation. Liaises with external auditors to coordinate and discuss audit related issues and resolve audit observations. Assists the organization units in developing their own self-audit and risk management programs. Ensures that diverse audit engagements are performed in a systematic, disciplined approach and with proficiency and due professional care. Ensures the auditors possess the knowledge, skills and other competencies needed to perform their individual responsibilities, including sufficient knowledge to identify the indicators of fraud. A Bachelor s degree in Auditing or equivalent accounting qualification and possession of a Professional Qualification preferably ACCA Minimum Experience required Ten (10) years auditing experience, 5 of which will have been gained from a senior management position in a similar size organization.

MARKETING MANAGER Reporting to Head of Commercial, the candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing the maximisation of revenue generation opportunities through marketing, advertising, promotional and activities of airline routes and schedules, and other airline related services and products to contribute to business profitability and growth, corporate image and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepares draft budget for the Section and justifies these to the Head of Department Enhance customer experience by ensuring that the section meets their performance standards and targets in order to meet the airline s customers expectations Develops, promotes and monitors the frequent flyer programme to enhance passenger retention and brand loyalty Builds and maintains relationships with the media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the airline Develops operational plans for the section, setting priorities with clear activity, schedules, performance targets, standards, procedures and timeframe Recommends resource requirements for the section to the Head of Department and deploys allocated resources efficiently, taking into account identified needs and priorities Develops and implements a brand strategy and plan ensuring all aspects of the Airline s products/services and marketing activities are aligned to the ethos and goals on the brand as stipulated in the brand manual Identifies possible niche market opportunities with synergies to the airline s core business activities and initiates market research surveys and cost benefit analysis Degree in Business related discipline. Accreditation to an international Marketing body would be an added advantage Minimum Experience required

5 Eight (8) years post graduate experience of which three (3) years should have been in a commercial environment. Experience in an airline industry exposed to marketing, sales and product development at a supervisory level would be an added advantage

COST ACCOUNTANT Reporting to Finance Manager, the candidate will be responsible for analysing data obtained through evaluation of budgets and expenditure to determine costs per business activity and provide costing information for decision making; ensure accurate management and reporting of fixed assets. Responsibilities Identifies and implements cost containment measures and projects for the Section Keeps abreast with latest developments accounting standards and recommends initiatives that lead to process improvement by applying acquired knowledge, skills and best practice. Recommends resource requirements for the team to the Sectional Head and deploys allocated resources efficiently, taking into account identified needs and priorities Coordinates the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for all departments and consolidates for the Airline Prepares monthly cost reports and analyses variances for review with respective departments and recommends cost saving initiatives Prepares timely Management Information Reports (MIR), route profitability report and break-even analysis for review and approval by the Finance Manager. Checks and in-puts aggregated performance data and prepares standard monthly reports and statistics on financial and commercial performance Maintains and monitors the capital expenditure budget AAT or Accounting Degree qualification plus fully qualified ACCA, CA or CIMA Minimum Experience required Five (5) years post AAT/Accounting degree of which two (2) should have been in a similar position. Candidate should be in good standing with BICA

7 5. Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on short term contract for six (6) months for ATR 42/72-500/600 and ERJ 170 fleet. Reporting to Maintenance Manager, the candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance services and activities on aircraft and the workshops in accordance with Approved procedures and documentation, performing Pre and Post flight checks on aircraft and resolves technical problems, diagnosing faults and provides technical solutions and ensuring that aircraft and related components are released for service in accordance with the laid down procedures and regulations Responsibilities Keeps abreast with latest developments in aircraft maintenance and recommends initiatives that lead to process improvement by applying acquired knowledge, skills and best practice Directs the Junior Engineers and Technicians on compliance to Quality and Safety Management policies and procedures for the section and causes appropriate remedial action to be taken in case of deviation Carries our aircraft maintenance (scheduled and unscheduled) in accordance with laid down standards, procedures and regulatory requirements. Oversees work in progress, checking quality, compliance with laid down operational procedures and timelines Identifies and implements cost containment measures and projects for the Section Maintain effective working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and service providers by ensuring adherence to service level agreements and contractual requirements Should be a B1/B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. A record of achievements in the maintenance and engineering field. Minimum Experience required Five (5) years experience with emphasis on quality of work, productivity and technical knowledge is necessary.
