2 International travel safety and security International travel and the responsibility for safety are fast becoming features of the modern-day health and safety role. This one-day event intends to provide an introduction to the topic, identifying some key risks and approaches to travel risk management and mitigation. This includes pre-travel training and the use of practical and scenario training to better prepare personnel for complex and challenging environments. This event aims to explore the risks and outline various risk-mitigation measures that can be applied during the planning and undertaking of global travel. In partnership with established and experienced service-providers and personnel in this field, we will look to explain the health, safety and security risks that many of our members are now being asked to consider as part of their travel risk-assessment processes, while also focusing on some of the controls and practices used to enable the safe movement of employees. Who should attend? This event will be beneficial for health and safety practitioners, regardless of which industry they may work in, who have a responsibility for the international travel of themselves and their employees. This event aims to focus on: - travel risk and threat management - developing an organisational riskmanagement system and - individual travel preparation and training. The day will include networking sessions and you may also be able to enhance your CPD portfolio by reflecting on how you have developed as a result of attending.
