4 By our employees, for our employees Grow within the Group In order to succeed in our mission, we also pay special attention to the motivation, development and well-being of our employees. Choosing GDF SUEZ means: CONFIDENCE joining a major international Group that offers many advantages (e.g., geographical and internal mobility as well as diversity of projects and customers), but also a team with a human dimension, in which you can demonstrate your ability to take initiatives and earn greater responsibility; joining a Group that takes measures to promote its employees integration (e.g., Group or entity employees integration programs and annual sporting events) and is increasing its efforts to contribute to improve employees work-life balance (e.g., concierge services, child care services and at-home working)*. * Services offered to some of the Group's entities in certain countries Good to know GDF SUEZ ranks 5 th as the preferred employer for French engineering students, and the 3 rd for French female engineers. (Universum Study, 2013) Much more than an industrial imperative, innovation is a state of mind that guides our Human Resources policy. In a changing world where half of tomorrow s jobs do not exist today, it is fundamentally important to anticipate the development of our businesses and to prepare our employees. At GDF SUEZ we believe that everyone has potential talent and the Group is determined to enable all employees to develop their skills through an individual growth plan. This takes into account the professional training, the professional career path and the different opportunities in term of mobility. This determination is reflected in our policy of "Development For People, People For Development", which, while developing employee involvement, ensures that managers have the right people, in the right positions, at the right time. Throughout your career path, managers will be at your side, to: help you develop your professional know-how and acquire new skills through personalized training courses. Each year, more than 7,000 employees, in 15 countries, take part in training courses organized by GDF SUEZ University, and 7 out of 10 employees are trained via e-learning; assist you in your career interests by helping you grow within the Group, thanks to a change in career, region or entity (30% increase in internal mobility in two years). My first three years within the Group have been the most intensive years of my YOUNG career. They have helped me, quite quickly, to mature professionally, to attain more responsibilities and to acquire certain reflexes. The atmosphere is friendly; the organization is nontechnocratic and therefore encourages taking initiatives. The energy businesses are as varied as they are exciting, and the Group is looking towards emerging markets and so offers a number of international opportunities. All of which makes me want to stay within the Group. Antoine, Senior Financial Analyst and Head of Medium-Term Business Planning, in the Exploration & Production Division.
