Work at this level would be undertaken with a high degree of autonomy. BCA National Academy of Sport offers: Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) This qualification gives you the skills and experience you need to take a first step into the fitness industry. It qualifies you to work in roles such as Fitness Instructor and Group Exercise Instructor. Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40215) This qualification prepares you to start work as a Personal Trainer. Students who complete this qualification will have speciallist skills to cover a range of topics which are invaluable to fitness professionals. The qualification enables you to conduct one-on-one exercise program. 7.

Depending on the specialisation chosen, this qualification provides a pathway to work as an instructor providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs. They work independently with some level of autonomy in a controlled environment such as fitness, leisure, aquatic and community centres where risks are managed through pre-existing risk assessment and hazard control processes. This may include training of older clients and children. They have a substantial depth of knowledge to plan, conduct and evaluate exercise training; provide leadership and guidance to clients and other staff; and deal with unpredictable situations applying defined guidelines and procedures from the fitness industry and the organisation. They work independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems, including monitoring and managing business activities to operate efficiently and profitably. 12 STUDENT ENROLMENT BCA National have weekly enrolment intakes across Australia, throughout the year. How to enrol? Complete an application form available on the BCA National website at bcanational.edu.au Step 2 Our Student Admissions team will contact you to complete your application. Some of the documents we will ask for are: A photo Identification document (e.g. a Driver s license) Your USI (Unique Student Identifier), we will advise you on how to obtain one If you are applying for VET Student Loans you must provide: A proof of your Australian Citizenship (e.g. your Australian birth certificate or Australian passport) PAYMENT OPTIONS VET Student Loans VET Student Loans is an Australian Government loan scheme that helps eligible students pay their tuition fees for eligible Diploma courses. Are you eligible? To be eligible you must: Be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand Special Category Visa (SCV) holder who meets the long-term residency requirements, or a permanent humanitarian visa holder. Have not exceeded the FEE-HELP limit. Provide your Australian Year 12 Certificate; OR evidence of successful completion of an AQF Certificate IV or higher (where the language of instruction is English); OR display competence at Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both reading and numeracy through an approved test. (BCA National can provide an ASCF test to you if required) Meet the Tax File Number (TFN) requirements. Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Have read the 2017 VET Student Loans information booklet, available at education.gov.au/vet-student-loans.
