2 The operational business of the IPMA group of companies consists predominantly of engineering and project management, which means the planning, steering and controlling of production runs. We understand monitoring as being ongoing analysis of individual procedures and processes, so that any adjustments required in the manufacturing process can be undertaken at any time. An all-encompassing consultation process and competent advice in all areas and on all issues are also included in what we embrace under the concept of assistance: for example, by providing manpower and technology for capacity bottlenecks and production peaks. Finally, our services also include everything which professionals refer to as tooling, which means assembly, commissioning and implementation.

3 3 The success story of our global group We, IPMA, are one of the most efficient groups of companies in Europe in the sectors of engineering, project management, monitoring, consulting, assistance and tooling. Since we were founded in 2000 we have been a competent partner for prestigious industrial companies, including vehicle construction amongst others. With sites in Wolfsburg and Heuchlingen, the IPMA Group is represented in two important German centres of production. Subsidiaries throughout the world in direct proximity to the customers guarantee that our specialists are present wherever futureoriented developments are being promoted and market leading products are being manufactured. To be able to work effectively we form competent teams for each order. Therefore within IPMA we draw on the individual experiences of our best professionals. 5 Amongst other things this is down to our team-oriented work ethics which we have been steadily expanding for more than ten years. If in 2001 we had 20 employees at 2 locations, by 2010 this had already grown to 100 professionals, working at 8 locations in the trend-setting countries and emergent regions of the world. Our client base has almost tripled in the same period.

6 Everywhere that metal parts are moulded and pressed or plastic parts are manufactured, is a significant field of activity for the IPMA specialists. This type of pressed parts or moulded plastic manufacture does not exist solely in the automobile industry by a long way. And similarly, for a long time now our range of customers has not been limited to this branch of industry. Besides, the same applies for vehicle body and tooling construction too. 7 7 High IPMA presence in all sectors As a multi-functional group of companies, here at IPMA we get involved in many of our customers producing sectors in order to increase production and make optimum use of resources. Technical advancements, procedures for cost reduction and current knowledge in the sector of manufacturing procedure consistently means production runs having to be more efficiently designed. Then we spring into action. Our work begins with a future-oriented idea. This leads to the engineering, and so to the process or concept planning. In this phase, amongst other things, CAD studies for new production routes are created, and detailed analyses on their feasibility. The project management results from this important work stage. Then when we have theoretically by means of computer simulations for example established that new production methods are sensible, they must be integrated into practice. IPMA specialists take this on too. So we are always working alongside our customers in all areas. From the initial planning phase right through to manufacture. With all development stages constant analysis and documentation is key. So, for example, we must constantly ensure that all suppliers are qualified and provide parts of consistently high quality on the promised date.
