This rle will als be respnsible fr prcess imprvement pprtunities and assist the General Manager Operatins with site management and reprting functins. Operating Budget: Dimensins circa NZ2.8mil dependant n annual apprved budgets. Manage the pwder prductin peratins frm Milk intake t palletized prduct in accrdance with the prductin manual t maximize the quality, effectiveness f the peratins achieving agreed prductivity and waste reductin targets. 2. Mnitrs and reduces all lsses, wastage and inefficient running f the plant t ensure yield targets are maximised. 3. Prvides directin in the budget frmulatin and is then respnsible fr mnitring fixed and variables cst under his/her cntrl. 4. Participate and supprt the engineering team and plant preventative maintenance prcess t ensure clear cmmunicatin and chesive plant peratin. 5. Prvides shift wrk cver during annual leave and sick leave absences. 6. Prvides leadership and directs prcess imprvement initiatives in the Plant. 7. Prvides technical and management systems reprts. 8. Frmulates and executes the annual business plan fr the pwder department in line with cmpany bjectives. 1. Ensure prduct meets required specificatins. 2. Cntribute t and prduce in accrdance with the Miraka quality/haccp plan t ensure the crrect prcedures are fllwed and required targets are achieved in line with regulatry cmpliance. 3. Ensure the required cmpnent calibratin wrks are cnducted in a timely manner withut cnflict with the cmpany s quality and regulatry bligatins. 4. Manage prduct and milk sampling requirements. 5. Ensure efficient CIP schedules are maintained. 6. Prmte quality achievement and perfrmance imprvement thrughut the factry. 7. Participate and supprt the quality audit prcess and drive necessary actin t ensure 100% adherence. 1. Respnsible fr health and safety perfrmance in the pwder prductin department. 2. Respnsible fr the management f critical risk cntrls fr activities undertaken within the pwder prductin department, with particular emphasis n Drier Fire and Explsin preventin (Drier Safety) 3. Supprt, and develp, where needed, apprpriate health, safety and risk management strategies and plans t ensure OSH cmpliance and minimize the Cmpany s expsure in all ways. 4. Prvides and maintains a healthy and safe wrk envirnment in the pwder Plant. 5. Identify and implement effluent and air discharge reductin plans and manage cnsistent perfrmance theref. 6. Health and safety reprting as required. 1. The disciplines f quality achievement and perfrmance are established and practiced in the Plant. 2. Quality and wastage reductin targets are achieved. 3. Prducts cmply with custmer, NZFSA and CODEX specificatins. 4. Cmpliance with quality audits. 1. OSH and envirnmental management strategies and plans are develped, implemented and managed. 2. All staff treat the prductin f fd ingredients with imprtance and ethics and accept the respnsibilities assciated with hygiene and fd safety and the nn-negtiable standards required f them. 3. Incident rates and LTI reductin plans are implemented and achieved. 4. The Plant is a safe and healthy envirnment t wrk in thrugh gd husekeeping, staff training and timely identificatin and crrectin f all safety issues and incidents.

Cnduct regular shift meetings t ensure knwledge transfer acrss all disciplines f H&S, quality, engineering and prductin transfer acrss shift teams. 7. Frmal Perfrmance Review discussins are cmpleted bi-annually. 6. Managing the training and develpment needs f the pwder plant wrk frce t ensure up-skilling and the building f capability f the emplyees. 7. All pwder plant emplyees are kept infrmed f activities thrugh regular cmmunicatin. 8. The payrll crdinatr receives the infrmatin in a timely manner t be able t prcess the pay. 1. A minimum f 5 years experience in managing milk pwder prductin teams with detailed knwledge n OSH, quality cntrl, perfrmance imprvement. Experience and knwledge required fr effective perfrmance in the psitin.
