The Configuration Workbench is an integrated toolset that simplifies the tasks of configuration management for HCM Products Oracle isetup, a data migration and reporting tool, is a part of the Oracle E-Business Suite. It includes several modules including HCM and Foundation.

22 isetup Administration: Instance Mapping The Instance Mapping table consists of the following columns: Name: Displays the name you specified during instance mapping. DBC Filename: Displays the DBC filename you have specified. Responsibility: Displays the responsibility used to create the mapping. For all mappings, this must be isetup responsibility.

23 isetup: Extract Selection Sets determine the data to be extracted Set templates are provided to assist in creating selection sets. Filters can be used to extract a subset of data Custom selection templates may be created if the standard templates do not meet requirements. The Create Custom button appears only if the user is granted the isetup Super User role along with the isetup responsibility.

27 isetup: Transform Oracle isetup allows you to transform extracted data in the following ways: Individually transform certain attributes of the data objects in an extract Simultaneously transform group of attributes for the data objects in an extract Note: All data objects do not support transformation and not all fields can be transformed

28 isetup Click the Transform icon of the data object that you want to transform. Only data objects marked for transform, during creation, are enabled. This takes you to a detail page where you can: Search for the record to be transformed by using some attributes of the data object. Enter the new values for attributes that allow transformation against the existing values.

33 isetup: Reports Reports are created from the extract files Comparison reports need a primary and secondary source (extract file) to compare Reports are produced in either a hierarchical or tabular style

35 isetup: Load 1. Name: Enter a unique name for the load. 2. Data Source: Select a data source (an extract or a transform) from a search. Only active extracts and transforms will be displayed for selection. 3. Target Instance: Select the Target instance from the pick list. 4. Description: Provide informative description that could help in identifying the load. 5. Update Existing: Select the data objects that you want to overwrite during load. By default, this is checked for objects that support update. 6. Deployment Report: Select the data objects for which you want the Deployment report to be generated. The Deployment report is a downloadable Microsoft Excel sheet generated for each API that has warnings or errors. The status of the data objects in the report gives you information on why the warning or error occurred during the load process.

39 HR Configuration Workbench & isetup Setup and Security Mapping instances Work with your DBA to correctly configure the source and target instances Users working with isetup must have the isetup responsibility attached to their user Users working HR Configuration Workbench must have the HR Configuration Workbench responsibility To use the Spreadsheet Loader functionality, Web ADI must be set up. Source and Target instances should be at the same patch level.
